Meet Maine 's New Governor --- In case you haven't heard about this guy before, his name will stick in your mind!
The new Maine Governor, Paul LePage is making New Jersey 's Chris Christie look timid. He isn't afraid to say what he thinks. Judging by the comments, every time he opens his mouth, his popularity goes up.
He brought down the house at his inauguration when he shook his fist toward the media box and said, "You're on notice! I've inherited a financially troubled State to run. Observe...cover what we do...but don't whine if I don't waste time responding to your every whim just for your amusement."
During his campaign for Governor, he was talking to commercial fishermen who are struggling because of federal fisheries rules. They complained that 0bama brought his family to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park for a long Labor Day holiday and found time to meet with union leaders, but wouldn't talk to the fishermen. LePage replied, "I'd tell him to go to hell and get out of my State." The Lame Stream Media crucified LePage, but he jumped 6 points in the pre-election poll.
The Martin Luther King incident was a political sandbag, which brought him national exposure. The 'lame stream' media crucified him, but word on the street is very positive. The NAACP specifically asked LePage to spend MLK Day visiting black inmates at the Maine State Prison. He told them that he would meet with ALL inmates, regardless of race, if he were to visit the prison. The NAACP balked and then put out a news release claiming falsely that he refused to participate in any MLK events. He read it in the paper for the 1st time the next morning while being driven to an event and went ballistic because none of the reporters had called him for comment before running the NAACP release.
He arrived at that event & said in front of a TV camera, "If they want to play the race card on me they can kiss my ass", and he reminded them that he has an adopted black son from Jamaica and that he attended the local MLK Breakfast every year that he was mayor of Waterville. (He started his morning there on MLK Day.)
He then stated that there's a right way and a wrong way to meet with the Governor, and he put all special interests on notice that press releases, media leaks, and all demonstrations would prove to be the wrong way. He said any other group, which acted like the NAACP could expect to be at the bottom of the Governor's priority list!
He then did the following, and judging from local radio talk show callers, his popularity increased even more: The State employees union complained because he waited until 3 P.M. before closing State offices and facilities and sending non-emergency personnel home during the last blizzard. The prior Governor would often close offices for the day with just a forecast before the first flakes. (Each time the State closes for snow, it costs the taxpayers about $1 million in wages for no work in return.)

LePage was CEO of the Marden's chain of discount family bargain retail stores before election as governor. He noted that State employees getting off work early could still find lots of retail stores open to shop. So, he put the State employees on notice by announcing: "If Marden's is open, Maine is open!"
He told State employees: "We live in Maine in the winter, for heaven's sake, and should know how to drive in it. Otherwise, apply for a State job in Florida !"
Governor LePage symbolizes what America needs; Refreshing politicians who aren't self-serving and who exhibit common sense.
THE LAW IS THE LAW!
I really love this one.

This is one of the better e-mails I have received in a long time! I hope this makes its way around the USA several times over!!!!! HERE IS WHAT Governor LaPage said,
"THE LAW IS THE LAW So "if" the US government determines that it is against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then, so be it.
And "if" that same government decides that the "Ten Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then, so be it.
I say, "so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen

I say, "so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I are in positions to make good decisions.
I would like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at heart.
BUT, he said, "YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?
Since we can't pray to God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government buildings, I don't believe Government (Federal, State and Local) and its employees should participate in Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.

I'd like my mail delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all, it's just another day.

I'd like the" US Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter as well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the "Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking a lot of my taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a government that is trying to be "politically correct."

In fact....I think our government should work on Sundays (AFTER ALL, It was initially set aside for worshipping God....) because, AFTER ALL, our government says that it should be Just ANOTHER DAY...."

What do you all think???? If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions" and begin, once again, to represent the "majority" of ALL of the American people.
SO BE IT...........Please Dear Lord, Give us the help needed to keep you in our country! 'Amen' and 'Amen' Touché!
If this gets around the country a few times, I believe we all will see a better day!

This is by a daughter of a murdered couple in Raytown , MO , who owned a Bible and Bookstore on 63rd street . She says:

When I had to testify at the murder trial of my parents a week ago, I was asked to raise my right hand... The bailiff started out "Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth?"

I stood there and waited but she said nothing. She said "Do you?"

I was so stunned I blurted out "What happened to 'so help me God'?"

She came back with, "Do you?" I replied yes, but I was perplexed.

Then the judge said . "You can say that if you want to." 

I stopped, raised my right hand, and finished with "So help me God!" 

I told my son and daughter that when it came time for them to testify, they should do the same.

I don't know what can be done about it, but it's time for us to step up and DO something.

NBC this morning had a poll on this question.. They had the highest number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the percentage was the same as this: 
86%to keep the words, 14% against... That is a pretty 'commanding' public response.

I was asked to send this on if I agreed... or delete if I didn't.

Now it is your turn. It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God.

Therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Why is America -- our nation -- catering to this 14%?

Honor Flight Columbus 9/7/2013:

Good friends are like pure gold and Bill Marland quickly became a golden friend to me.  I had attended Xenos Cafe’ Church Teaching alone, that is without Jeanie, many times before my bride began attending with me about a year ago.  It was about that time that Bill asked if I had heard of Honor Flight or had been in the service.  I told him I was a Korean vet, who had spent my post-training service time in Tokyo, Japan with a map-making battalion.  Bill had me sign up for an Honor Flight.  Yesterday the time came and I joined eighty-one other Korean veterans and one or two from the WW II "Greatest Generation" along with at least that many Guardians who guide the vets through the Veteran sites in Washington D.C.  We saw many other vets from an additional 8 or 9 flights from all over America, according to the Bill Herbert, the guardian assigned to my new vet acquaintance, Al Lundquist, and me..  It was extremely emotional and moving to each of the vets.  

Many friends my age, in their late seventies and early eighties were among the grateful vets for the caring Honor Flight organization's truly generous and gratuitous venture.  God blessed us with a beautiful flight crew and an extremely beautiful day.  After passing through lines of Annapolis Naval students with many thanks fron the young people, there were three buses at the Baltimore Airport to take us to D.C. , a little over thirty miles southeast.  Julie Brightwell, was our bus guide in her thirty-second Honor Flight trip from Columbus.  She gave historical significant points to us as we saw the sites.

We stopped first at the WW II Memorial which the guide and videos told us had required quite a tussel with Congressman to get the planning and location at the foot of the ponds, east of Lincoln's Memorial.  To me, It was the highlight of the beautiful Memorials we saw.

At the Korea Memorial I was experiencing that the more than life-size statues with rifles and ponchos appeared white and ghostly.  Also the photos of soldiers in the granite wall faded which made it appear ghostly as well.  It was there, that I looked down at my wheel-chaired-for- the -walking, good friend, Lyle Shover’s dropped head, and he said: “I don’t Like it.”  Lyle had experienced battles in Korea.  “He also said:  It isn’t authentic.  In my fourteen months there, we never wore a poncho.  It just wasn’t my experience.”  

Each of these wonderful Memorials brought about a somber feeling by me and most veterans.  I, personally, felt undeserving of a hero’s honor. Yet I have the deep respect for our fallen honored in our nation’s capitol.  Surely, we have spent our lifetime back home with family, career, and friends.  

Perhaps the Wounded Wariors whose lives were so dramatically altered in all wars, should have their own Memorials. I believe that perhaps a portion of future trips might also include a member or two of each family who lost a vital member or had a member’s life so dramatically changed by war.  Those families lived on, as we have, because of  their great sacrifices of their loved ones for our free country.   

Thanks for all who brought us such a beautiful and caring day, even for vets like me who suffered only separation from loved ones during our mostly very young lives.  The adoring gauntlets and the wonderful Honor Flight Gaurdians gave us a chance to share a reverence for all service people of all times.  

We share some reverence for those 535 members in D.C. who truly serve the people of America, although with a growing feeling that they have lost much respect for the American heroes.  My advice to them:  Don’t pretend to serve.  Do as these fallen and wounded did- i.e.-  SERVE!  We don’t appreciate self-serving rock stars as our elected representatives.   I love positives for America.  These Memorials SERVE!    Each of us vets must have heard the words “Thanks for your service” at least a thousand times from great American volunteers who greeted us so smilingly and consistently along the way.  Another outstanding greeting crowd met us at the Columbus Airport which overwhelmingly to us, included memnbers of TBDBITL Ohio State's Marching Band, Bagpipes, and so many cheering and terrific people, most of all, members of our families.

Thanks good friend, Bill Marland, who unfortunately could not join me due to a knee operation which cancelled his guardianship for me on the flight.

Thanks also to the great people of Honor flight and all of those who support them.  I remain still feeling undeserving for my so relatively small part in the service of America.

Wednesday, John Kerry told the Senate not to worry about the cost of an American war on Syria.

The Saudis and Gulf Arabs, cash-fat on the $110-a-barrel oil they sell U.S. consumers, will pick up the tab for the Tomahawk missiles.

Has it come to this -- U.S. soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen as the mercenaries of sheiks, sultans and emirs, Hessians of the New World Order, hired out to do the big-time killing for Saudi and Sunni royals?

Yesterday, too, came a stunning report in the Washington Post.

The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations has joined the Israeli lobby AIPAC in an all-out public campaign for a U.S. war on Syria

Marvin Hier of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League have invoked the Holocaust, with Hier charging the U.S. and Britain failed to rescue the Jews in 1942.

Yet, if memory serves, in '42 the Brits were battling Rommel in the desert and the Americans were still collecting their dead at Pearl Harbor and dying on Bataan and Corregidor.

The Republican Jewish Coalition, too, bankrolled by Sheldon Adelson, the Macau casino mogul whose solicitude for the suffering children of Syria is the stuff of legend, is also backing Obama's war.

Adelson, who shelled out $70 million to bring down Barack, wants his pay-off -- war on Syria. And he is getting it. Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor have saluted and enlisted. Sheldon, fattest of all fat cats, is buying himself a war.

Yet, is it really wise for Jewish organizations to put a Jewish stamp on a campaign to drag America into another war that a majority of their countrymen do not want to fight?

Moreover, this war has debacle written all over it. Should it come, a divided nation will be led by a diffident and dithering commander in chief who makes Adlai Stevenson look like Stonewall Jackson.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Martin Dempsey is having trouble even defining the mission. While Obama says it will be an in-and-out strike of hours, a "shot across the bow," John McCain says the Senate resolution authorizes robust strikes, lethal aid to the rebels and a campaign to bring down Bashar Assad.

If the Republican Party backs this war, it will own this war.

And U.S. involvement will last not for days, but for the duration.

And if our power is unleashed, our prestige and superpower status go on the line.

If the rebels then lose, we lose. And if the rebels win, who wins?

Is it the same jihadists who just shelled that Christian village and terrorized that convent of Christian nuns?

Is it the same rebels seen on the front page of Thursday's New York Times about to execute, Einsatzgruppen-style, captive Syrian soldiers, forgetting only to have the victims of their war crime dig their own graves first?

Does the Republican Party really want to own a war that could end with al-Qaida in power or occupying sanctuaries in Syria?

Does the U.S. Jewish community really want to be responsible for starting a war that ends with two million Christian Syrians facing a fate not unlike that of Poland's Jews?

About the debate on this war, there is an aspect of the absurd.

We are told we must punish Assad for killing Syrians with gas, but we do not want Assad's regime to fall. Which raises a question: How many Syrians must we kill with missiles to teach Assad he cannot kill any more Syrians with gas? Artillery, fine. Just no gas.

How many Syrians must we kill to restore the credibility of our befuddled president who now says he did not draw that "red line" on chemical weapons; the world did when it outlawed such weapons.

Yet this statement may offer Obama a way out of a crisis of his own making without his starting a war to save face.

Iran and Russia agree chemical weapons were used. Vladimir Putin has said Russia will back military action against those who did it. The Russians have put out a 100-page document tracing the March use of chemical weapons to the rebels. The Turks reportedly intercepted small amounts of sarin going to the rebels. We claim solid proof that Assad's regime authorized and used chemical weapons.

Why not tell the Russians to meet us in the Security Council where we will prove our "slam-dunk" case.

If we can, and do, we will have far greater support for collective sanctions or action than we do now. And if we prove our case and the U.N. does nothing, we will have learned something about the international community worth learning.

But the idea of launching missiles based on evidence we will not reveal about Syria's use of chemical weapons, strikes that will advance the cause of the al-Qaida terrorists who killed 3,000 of us and are anxious to kill more, would be an act of such paralyzing stupidity one cannot believe that even this crowd would consciously commit it.
