There are so many qualified blacks for President of the United States. I know a few from my hometown of Portsmouth, Ohio. It is a crying shame that our first black was this "created" front called barack hussein obama. He is with the islamicists and he is acting against America going forward to greater things.

inShare inShare9 Economist and author Thomas Sowell tells Newsmax that banks and businesses are sitting on piles of cash because they’re concerned about “what new bright idea” Washington might come up with to “mess up” their investments.
Sowell, a senior fellow on public policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, says he would like to see a constitutional amendment barring politicians from intervening in the economy “under any circumstances.”
Story continues below.
Sowell is also a syndicated columnist and winner of the National Humanities Award. His latest book, “The Thomas Sowell Reader,” is a compilation of his writings on various issues over the past three decades.
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, Sowell was asked who is to blame for the dire state of the American economy.
“Practically everybody, and I think particularly the Washington politicians,” he declares.
“The crucial fact that brought this on was the failure of people with mortgages to pay those mortgages, and that in turn was due to politicians forcing lending institutions to lower their lending standards. That brought in lots of people who would not have been given mortgages before, who then failed to live up to their mortgages — which is exactly why the standards were higher before the politicians intervened.
“There’s a great pressure on people in Washington to ‘do something,’ and that pressure has led to many things that have been counterproductive.
“Right now the problem is not that there isn’t money in the economy. The problem is that the money is sitting idle. Banks and businesses have had record-breaking amounts of cash sitting around and are not doing anything with it. And they’re very prudent to be hesitant. They don’t know what new bright idea will occur in Washington over the next year that will mess up any investment that they make.”
Americans should not accept that unemployment will remain high regardless of who controls Washington, Sowell says.
“Not at all. Unemployment can go up and it can come down depending in many cases on what kind of policies the government follows.
“Even after the great stock market crash of 1929, the unemployment rate did not reach double digits in any of the 12 months that followed. It reached double digits after the politicians started intervening.”
His prescription for fixing the economy: “I would love to have a constitutional amendment that says politicians are not allowed to intervene in the economy under any circumstances. I think there would be a boom following that.”
Sowell, an African-American, recently commented on the Fox Business Network that presidential candidate Herman Cain “is certainly one of us far more so than Barack Obama.”
He tells Newsmax: “Barack Obama was raised in Hawaii, where there is very little black population, and went to an expensive private school. What Herman Cain did was much more typical of most of the blacks in the country.”
Sowell says Cain’s 9-9-9 tax reform plan would probably have repercussions, like any tax plan, but they “would not be nearly as bad as those we are currently having — and might be a significant improvement.”
Asked if he’d like to see the IRS abolished, Sowell responds: “Yes. The country lived for over 100 years before there was an IRS.”
He also was asked whether the Occupy Wall Street movement is right in blaming big banks for the nation’s income inequality.
“No. I’m always fascinated when people attribute very high incomes to greed. Greed tells you what you want. If you have high income it’s because other people are willing to pay it. And the other people who are willing to pay it very often in recent years have been the politicians who are spending the taxpayers’ money.”

For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed,somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

THE OLD PATHS
I liked the old paths, when
Moms were at home.
Dads were at work.
Brothers went into the army.
And sisters got married BEFORE having children!
Crime did not pay;
Hard work did;
And people knew the difference.
Moms could cook;
Dads would work;
Children would behave.
Husbands were loving;
Wives were supportive;
And children were polite.
Women wore the jewelry;
And Men wore the pants.
Women looked like ladies;
Men looked like gentlemen;
And children looked decent.
People loved the truth,
And hated a lie.
They came to church to get IN,
Not to get OUT!
Hymns sounded Godly;
Sermons sounded helpful;
Rejoicing sounded normal;
And crying sounded sincere.
Cursing was wicked;
Drugs were for illness.
The flag was honored;
America was beautiful;
And God was welcome!
We read the Bible in public;
Prayed in school;
And preached from house to house.
To be called an American was worth dying for;
To be called an American was worth living for;
To be called a traitor was a shame!
I still like the old paths the best!

Free Stuff- Said plainly and well, Luis Flores!
I have never heard this said as plain or as well.
The folks who are getting the free stuff, don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff,
Because the folks who are paying for the free stuff,
Can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff,
And,
The folks who are paying for the free stuff,
Want the free stuff to stop.
and the the folks who are getting the free stuff,
Want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!
Now...
The people who are forcing the people who Pay for the free stuff,
Have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff,
That the people who are PAYING for the free stuff,
Are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.
So...
the people who are GETTING the free stuff,
Have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff,
By the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff,
And giving them the free stuff in the first place.
We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are
Now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.
Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide
somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason?
The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing
people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.
The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 231 years ago. The number of people now
getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that
in 2012.
Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.
ELECTION 2012 IS COMING

HOW AWESOME IS THIS?
The bar is set higher and higher for awesome African game shots that we are privileged to see.!
Clinging on for dear life to the side of a vertical cliff, the tiny lion cub cries out pitifully for help.
His mother arrives at the edge of the precipice with three other lionesses and a male. The females start to clamber down together but turn back daunted by the sheer drop.
Eventually one single factor determines which of them will risk her life to save the youngster – motherly love.
The drama begins: The mother arrives at the edge of the cliff as her son cries out for rescue after being trapped when he slipped
On the brink: Four lionesses look over the edge before aborting their rescue mission because of the sheer drop
Slowly, agonizingly, the big cat edges her way down towards her terrified son, using her powerful claws to grip the crumbling cliff side.
One slip from her and both animals could end up dead at the bottom of the ravine.
Just as the exhausted cub seems about to fall, his mother circles beneath him and he is snatched up in her jaws.
She then begins the equally perilous journey back to the top. Minutes later, they arrive and she gives the frightened creature a consoling lick on the head.
The dramatic rescue, captured by wildlife photographer Jean-Francois Largot, was played out in Kenya’s Masai Mara game reserve.
Despite the presence of wardens to deter poachers, day-to-day life for the lions is not without its dangers … as the cub learned the hard way.
Rescue mission: The mother inches her way down the cliff face to rescue the terrified cub before locking him in her jaws and making her way back up the cliff face
Motherly love: The mother gives her son a lick to say that all is well in the pride following the drama

A bar tab to end all bar tabs ... Thanks Anon Ymous!
A bar tab to end all bar tabs
I wouldn’t want to have to pay that tab.
Boston Bruin's ( the whole team) bar tab:
This is the Boston Bruins bar tab receipt after throwing themselves a celebration party for finally bringing the Stanley Cup back to Boston. Note that the party lasted only for 4 hours. In the comments below, check out the cost of 1 bottle of Midas champagne (only 6 in existence) and the tip.
The party continued over the weekend for the Stanley Cup champion Bruins, who tore it up at Shrine nightclub at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut Saturday night.
When all was said and done, the Black and Gold racked up a four-hour bar tab that totalled $156,679.74, which included the now-famous $100,000.00 bottle of Ace of Spades "Midas" champagne, and a built-in tip of $24,869.80 for Danielle (the server whose name is on top of tab above), which we imagine she had to split up with a few other servers at Shrine. And our guess is the Bruins may not have noticed the built-in tip, and threw in a larger gratuity when the bill was paid.
The state of Connecticut took in nearly $7,500 in taxes on the night as well.
Shrine owners Ed Kane, Joe Kane, and Randy Greenstein hand-delivered the 30-liter "Midas" bottle, which is one of six in existence. The bottle was double the size of the 15-liter Ace of Spades brut that Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban purchased for his team after its NBA championship a week ago.
Some other highlights on the Bruins tab from Shrine included 35 Jager Bombs totalling $525, 3 bottles of Captain Morgan at $300 each, 9 bottles of Goose MG at $600 a pop, 136 Bud Lights... and in case anyone was dehydrated, 67 bottles of Fiji water totalling $268.
The Globe's Names columnfiled this report: "Before anyone could sample the champagne, it had to be opened - and that proved difficult. Zdeno Chara tried, but the 6-foot-9 defenseman couldn't do it. Finally, after a few failed attempts, the cork was removed, and the champagne was poured into the Stanley Cup. Their thirst still not quenched, Chara, Shawn Thornton, and the rest of the Bruins then lifted the Cup to their mouths.
"Chara, wearing jeans and an Ed Hardy T-shirt, can actually dance, but no one kicked it like Brad Marchand and rookie Tyler Seguin,who spent much of the night on top of the bar, shirtless, and spritzing the crowd with champagne. They were occasionally joined by teammates, some of whom seemed to be using these postseason parties to perfect their Dougie, the dance made famous by Lil' Wil. Even the team's oldest player, 43-year-old Mark Recchi, jumped up on the bar and busted a move."
The "Midas" bottle, which was signed by every Bruins team member in attendance, will be on display at High Rollers at Foxwoods and will be raffled off at a later date to benefit the Bruins foundation.
I wouldn’t want to have to pay that tab.

A little girl stood near a small church from which she had been turned away because it was "too crowded."
"I can't go to Sunday School," she sobbed to the pastor as he walked by.
Seeing her shabby, unkempt appearance, the pastor guessed the reason and, taking her by the hand, took her inside and found a place for her in the Sunday school class. The child was so happy that they found room for her, and she went to bed that night thinking of the children who have no place to worship Jesus.
Some two years later, this child lay dead in one of the poor tenement buildings. Her parents called for the kindhearted pastor who had befriended their daughter to handle the final arrangements.
As her poor little body was being moved, a worn and crumpled red purse was found which seemed to have been rummaged from some trash dump.
Inside was found 57 cents and a note, scribbled in childish handwriting, which read: "This is to help build the little church bigger so more children can go to Sunday School."
For two years she had saved for this offering of love.
When the pastor tearfully read that note, he knew instantly what he would do. Carrying this note and the cracked, red pocketbook to the pulpit, he told the story of her unselfish love and devotion.
He challenged his deacons to get busy and raise enough money for the larger building.
But the story does not end there...
A newspaper learned of the story and published It. It was read by a wealthy realtor who offered them a parcel of land worth many thousands.
When told that the church could not pay so much, he offered to sell it to the little church for 57 cents.
Church members made large donations. Checks came from far and wide.
Within five years the little girl's gift had increased to $250, 000.00--a huge sum for that time (near the turn of the century). Her unselfish love had paid large dividends.
When you are in the city of Philadelphia , look up Temple Baptist Church , with a seating capacity of 3,300. And be sure to visit Temple University, where thousands of students are educated.
Have a look, too, at the Good Samaritan Hospital and at a Sunday School building which houses hundreds of beautiful children, built so that no child in the area will ever need to be left outside during Sunday school time.
In one of the rooms of this building may be seen the picture of the sweet face of the little girl whose 57 cents, so sacrificially saved, made such remarkable history. Alongside of it is a portrait of her kind pastor, Dr. Russell H. Conwell, author of the book, "Acres of Diamonds".
This is a true story, which goes to show WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH 57 CENTS.

Friends and Family:
Please read and if you agree, send this far and wide. This letter enclosed is well written, well supported, and a pretty accurate portrayal of the current economic climate in America. With any luck, the voters of this nation who read this will wake up, smell the coffee and realize that this is their fight to win or lose, with their votes, come November 2012! I surely do not intend to waste mine!
*****************************************************
To All My Valued Employees:
There have been some rumblings around the office about the future of this company, and more specifically, your job. As you know, the economy has changed for the worse and presents many challenges. However, the good news is this: The economy doesn't pose a threat to your job.
What does threaten your job however, is the changing political landscape in this country. Of course, as your employer, I am forbidden to tell you whom to vote for - it is against the law to discriminate based on political affiliation, Race, creed, religion, etc.
Please vote who you think will serve your interests the best. However, let me tell you some little tidbits of fact which might help you decide what is in your best interest. First, while it is easy to spew rhetoric that casts employers against employees, you have to understand that for every business owner there is a back story.
This back story is often neglected and overshadowed by what you see and hear. Sure, you see me park my Mercedes outside. You've seen my big home at last year’s Christmas party. I'm sure all these flashy icons of luxury conjure up some idealized thoughts about my life. However, what you don't see is the back story.
I started this company 12 years ago. At that time, I lived in a 300 square foot studio apartment for 3 years. My entire living space was converted into an office so I could put forth 100% effort into building a company, which by the way, would eventually employ you.
My diet consisted of Ramen Pride noodles because every dollar I spent went back into this company. I drove a rusty Toyota Corolla with a defective transmission. I didn't have time to date. Often times, I stayed home on weekends, while my friends went out drinking and partying. In fact, I was married to my business -- hard work, discipline and sacrifice.
Meanwhile, my friends got jobs. They worked 40 hours a week and made a modest $50K a year and spent every dime they earned. They drove flashy cars and lived in expensive homes and wore fancy designer clothes. Instead of hitting the Nordstrom's for the latest hot fashion item, I was trolling through the Goodwill store extracting any clothing item that didn't look like it was birthed in the 70's.
My friends refinanced their mortgages and lived a life of luxury. I, however, did not. I put my time, my money and my life into a business with a vision that eventually, some day, I too, will be able to afford these luxuries my friends supposedly had.
So, while you physically arrive at the office at 9 am, mentally check in at about noon and then leave at 5 pm, I don't. There is no "off" button for me. When you leave the office, you are done and you have a weekend all to yourself. I unfortunately do not have that freedom. I eat, ****, and breathe this company every minute of the day. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour. Every day this business is attached to me like a 1-day-old baby.
You, of course, only see the fruits of that garden -- the nice house, the Mercedes, the vacations. You never realize the back story and the sacrifices I've made. Now, the economy is falling apart and I, the guy that made all the right decisions and saved his money, is supposed to bail-out all the people who didn't.
The people that overspent their paychecks suddenly feel entitled to the same luxuries that I earned and sacrificed a decade of my life for. Yes, business ownership has is benefits but the price I've paid is steep and not without wounds. Unfortunately, the cost of running this business, and employing you, is starting to eclipse the threshold of marginal benefit and let me tell you why:
I am being taxed to death and the government thinks I don't pay enough. I have state taxes, federal taxes, property taxes, sales and use taxes, payroll taxes, workers compensation taxes, unemployment taxes, taxes on taxes. I have to hire a tax man to manage all these taxes and then guess what? I have to pay taxes for employing him. Government mandates and regulations and all the accounting that goes with it, now occupy most of my time. On Oct 15th, I wrote a check to the U.S. Treasury for $288,000 for quarterly taxes. You know what my "stimulus" check was? Zero. Nada. Zilch.
The question I have is this: Who is stimulating the economy? Me, the guy who has provided 14 people good paying jobs and serves over 2,200,000 people per year with a flourishing business? Or, the single mother sitting at home pregnant with her fourth child waiting for her next welfare check?
Obviously, government feels the latter is the economic stimulus of this country. The fact is, if I deducted 50% of your paycheck you'd quit and you wouldn't work here. I mean, why should you? That's nuts. Who wants to get rewarded only 50% for their hard work? Well, I agree which is why your job is in jeopardy. Here is what many of you don't understand. To stimulate the economy you need to stimulate what runs the economy. Had the government suddenly mandated to me that I didn't need to pay taxes, guess what? Instead of depositing that $288,000 into the Washington black-hole, I would have hired more employees and generated substantial economic growth. My employees would have enjoyed the wealth of that tax cut in the form of promotions and better salaries. But you can forget it now.
When you have a comatose man on the verge of death, you don't defibrillate and shock his thumb thinking that will bring him back to life, do you? Or, do you defibrillate his heart? Business is at the heart of America and always has been. To restart it, you must stimulate it, not kill it. However, the power brokers in Washington prefer to cater to the unproductive segment of America rather than to the essential driver of the American economic engine.
Nothing could be further from the truth and this is the type of change you can keep. So where am I going with all this? It's quite simple. If any new taxes are levied on me or my company, my reaction will be swift and simple. I will fire you. I will fire your co-workers. You can then plead with the government to pay your mortgage, your SUV and your child's future. Frankly, it isn't my problem anymore. Then, I will close this company down, move to another country and retire.
You see, I'm done. I'm done with a country that penalizes the productive and gives to the unproductive. My motivation to work and to provide jobs will be destroyed, and with it will be my citizenship.
While tax cuts to 95% of America sounds great on paper, don't forget the back story: If there is no job, there is no income to tax. A tax cut on zero dollars is zero. So, when you make your decision to vote, ask yourself who understands the economics of business ownership and who doesn't? Whose policies will endanger your job? Answer those questions and you should know who might be the one capable of saving your job. While the media wants to tell you "It's the economy, Stupid" I'm telling you it isn't.
If you lose your job, it won't be at the hands of the economy; it will be at the hands of a political hurricane that swept through this country, steamrolled the Constitution, and will have changed its landscape forever. If that happens, you can find me in South Caribbean sitting on a beach, retired, and with no employees to worry about.
Signed,
Your boss,

Friends and Family:
Please read and if you agree, send this far and wide. This letter enclosed is well written, well supported, and a pretty accurate portrayal of the current economic climate in America. With any luck, the voters of this nation who read this will wake up, smell the coffee and realize that this is their fight to win or lose, with their votes, come November 2012! I surely do not intend to waste mine!
