When the U.S government speaks about a 1.7 trillion deficit - this is the volumes of cash the U.S. Government borrowed in 2010 to run itself.


Keep in mind it is double stacked pallets of $100 million dollars each, full of $100 dollar bills. You are going to need a lot of trucks to freight this around.


If you spent $1 million a day since Jesus was born, you would have not spent $1 trillion by now...but ~$700 billion - same amount the banks got during bailout.

$15,000,000,000,000 - US national debt (credit bill) has just topped the 15 trillion 2 months before Christmas 2011.


Statue of Liberty seems rather worried as United States national debt passes 20% of the entire world's combined GDP (Gross Domestic Product). In 2011 the National Debt will exceed 100% of GDP, and venture into the 100%+ debt-to-GDP ratio that the European PIIGS have (bankrupting nations).

To the right you can see the pillar of cold hard $100 bills that dwarfs the WTC & Empire State Building - both at one point world's tallest buildings. If you look carefully you can see the Statue of Liberty.

The 114.5 Trillion dollar super-skyscraper is the amount of money the U.S. Government knows it does not have to fully fund the Medicare, Medicare Prescription Drug Program, Social Security, Military and civil servant pensions. It is the money USA knows it will not have to pay all its bills.

If you live in USA this is also your personal credit card bill; you are responsible along with everyone else to pay this back. The citizens of USA created the U.S. Government to serve them, this is what the U.S. Government has done while serving The People.

The unfunded liability is calculated on current tax and funding inputs, and future demographic shifts in US Population.

Note: On the above 114.5T image the size of the base of the money pile is half a trillion, not $1T as on 15T image. The height is double. This was done to reflect the base of Empire State and WTC more closely.

Seriously, Senator Reid has a face of a Saint - A Saint Bernard. Now I know why they call you the arithmetic man. You add partisanship, subtract pleasure, divide attention, and multiply ignorance. Reid is so physically unimposing, he makes Pee Wee Herman look like Mr. T. And Reid's so dumb, he makes Speaker Pelosi look like an intellectual. Nevada is soooo screwed! If I were less polite, I'd say Reid makes Kevin Federline look successful.

Speaking of the Speaker ... Nancy Pelosi, hubba, hubba! Hey baby, you must've been something before electricity. Seriously, the Speaker may look like an idiot and talks like an idiot but don't let that fool you. She really is an idiot.

Charlie Rangel ... still alive and still robbing the taxpayers blind. What does that make, six decades of theft?
Rangel's the only man with a rent-controlled mansion. He's the guy who writes our tax laws but forgot to pay taxes on $75 grand in rental income! So why isn't he the Treasury Secretary? Rangel runs more scams than a Nigerian Banker.

Barney Frank ... he's a better actor than Fred Flintstone. Consider that he and Dodd caused the whole financial meltdown, and they're not only not serving time with Bubba and Rodney, they're still heading up the financial system!
Let's all admit it ... Barney Frank slobbers more than a sheepdog on Novocain.. How did this guy get elected? Oh, that's right ... he's from Massachusetts . That's the state that elects Mr. Charisma, John Kerry -- man of the people!

Here's a news flash, Dodd: when your local newspaper calls you a "lying weasel," it may be time to retire.

Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, I really respect you ... especially given your upbringing ~ All you've overcome. I heard your birth certificate is an apology from the condom factory. I don't know what makes you so dumb, but it really works for you. Personally, I don't think you're a fool, but what's my opinion compared to that of thousands of others?

As for President Obama, what can I say? They say President Obama's arrogant and aloof, but I don't agree.
Now it's true when you enter the room, you have to kiss his ring. I don't mind, but he has it in his back pocket.
His mind is open to new ideas -- so open that ideas simply pass through it. Obama lies so much, I was actually surprised to find out his first name really was Barack.
Just don't ask about his middle name! But Obama was able to set a record ... he actually lied more in 60 days than Bill Clinton.

Central vs. Local Government and lawyers

Lawyers-

The education of lawyers require a lot; however, I am unsure that it qualifies them to be most of our representatives in Congress or in the Judiciary.  I guess I have to concede on the Judiciary.  We currently have many lawyers in congress, all lawyers in Judiciary, and a pseudo-lawyer as PUSA.  We have obtained the obamacare thing, very unpopular with us people, pushed through by PUSA, and now somewhat endorsed by the Supreme Court.  I just wonder if the SC. justices should not be called criminal lawyers, as in lawyers who commit crimes of the highest order.

The Civil War was about more than anti-slavery differences.  It was about centralized vs local control of our country.  Long hours of study should not rule out common sense in this republic.  Common sense often  gets to and clarifies points much more effectively.

No, the current decisions against Arizona and for obamacare should not be crammed down the throats of the electorate.  By law, they definitely are. The lawyers are getting things wrong!

Soros: Three Days Left to Save the Euro

Only three days remain for European policymakers to decide on a way to save the euro and keep the monetary zone intact, says billionaire financier George Soros.

European Union leaders will meet Thursday and Friday to discuss ways to firewall and extinguish the European debt crisis raging within Greece and spreading fast to Spain and beyond.

Despite market-friendly results in recent Greek parliamentary elections and the creation of a $125 billion rescue fund for Spain to use to recapitalize its banks, borrowing costs remain sky-high in Spanish and other debt auctions, revealing that investors remain as nervous over the continent's fate as ever.

Failure to come up with a way to overhaul the economy this week could mean the continent missed out on its last opportunity.

"We are down to three days now," Soros tells Spiegel Online.

"Europe's leaders need to take bold steps at the EU summit on Thursday and Friday."

Bold steps include creating a central banking supervision and examination body as well as placing a single bond financed and underwritten by all member nations, policies European paymaster Germany has opposed.

German officials, including Chancellor Angela Merkel, have insisted that recovery will come from internal reform in troubled European nations and not through selling so-called euro bonds, which ask some nations to shoulder others' debts.

However, further German resistance to such moves could prove costly should Greece exit the eurozone, defaulting on its debts in the process and pressure Spain and others to follow suit.

"There is no question that a breakup of the euro would be very damaging, very costly, both financially and politically. And the biggest loss would be incurred by Germany," Soros says.

"Germans have to bear in mind that, effectively, they have suffered practically no losses so far. Transfers have all been in the form of loans, and it is only when the loans are not repaid that real losses will be incurred."

Demands that Greece and others stick with painful austerity measures such as spending cuts won't work either, as such fiscal belt-tightening tools exacerbate downturns and wipe out growth, which should take priority over narrowing deficits, at least for now.

"There is no doubt that the countries that now have a very large debt have not introduced the kind of structural reforms that Germany did and are therefore at a disadvantage. But the problem is that this disadvantage is becoming even more pronounced through the punitive policies in place now," Soros says.

"Italy currently has to spend 6 percent of its GDP every year just to stay even with Germany because it has to pay so much more to refinance its debt. There is no way, with that handicap, that Italy can close the competitiveness gap with Germany."

The upcoming meeting will group all members of the European Union, including those who do not use the euro as a currency.

Skepticism for a solution remains high due to Germany's unwillingness to back measures such as selling euro bonds.

"Last week we were very hopeful that they were moving forward and the meetings this week would have a positive ending. Today there is a lot of doubt the EU summit will generate anything substantial," says Gail Dudack, chief investment strategist for Dudack Research Group in New York, according to Reuters.

The PC computer and system makers had better get their act together.  Most of my generation don't want to mess with the internet.  Believe me, I am quickly getting to be in the same boat.  Buying a new PC is a terrible experience as I can vouch for in getting back to usage with Hilda IV, my current PC (November 2011).  I don't want another woman like her.

So much changes consistentlyon PC's that the simple operations seem fewer and less.  Sure I am old at 79; however, I have used these things since the early 90's when the internet became more accessible and user friendly.

Many gurus are proclaiming Macs have the best operating systems.
They are more expensive but said to be worth it.

I can't seem to order anything through the ordering sites and to sell a book on Amazon Kindle, I often get lost in their forms.

Yuppies, by and large, are impressive except that they seem to forget that the customer of anything wants Price, Delivery, Quality and Service.  Screw the customer in quality and you lose them forever.   Customer service cannot be taken for granted.  Delivery channels must be open to encourage business and you had better keep your prices competitive or your business dies.  I don't care if your product is internet, toothpicks or gold.

Telephone service is worse than it has ever been in spite of cell phone usage and texting.  Calling customer service is extremely frustrating.  Robert Townsend "Up The Organization" touted the telephone operator more than his VP's years ago. Try talking with a human being today by phone ;) .What are the Young up-and-coming CEO'S thinking today.  Business is not self-perpetuating.

That is just the business side of things.  Let's soon talk about the Senators and Representatives who no longer represent their constituents.

Winston Churchill said that "Democracy is the worst form of government in the world except for any other kind."

When you've read to the end, come back and read this first paragraph again. A Coil of Rage The character of any man is defined by how he treats his mother as the years pass .... need I say more about this person below, other than there is no character, no integrity but there is a ton of attitude and arrogance that defines his shallow past and hollow future.... I rest my case. I read Obama's book, Audacity of Hope. It was difficult to read, considering his attitude toward us and everything American. Let me add a phrase he used to describe his attitude toward whites: He harbors a "COIL OF RAGE." His words not mine. THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT -- HE'S RUNNING AGAIN, YOU KNOW!

Is anyone out there awake? Everyone of voting age should read these two books by him; don't buy them, just get them from the library.
