For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Victory for religious rights in the AF ... Thx Paul C!

Victory for Religious Liberty in the U.S. Air Force!
Dear Paul,
AFA urged supporters to sign a petition to reverse Obama's hostility toward Christians in the Air Force, and the voice of AFA supporters made a difference.
Over 50,000 supporters signed the AFA petition urging Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson to restore the religious liberty of U.S. Air Force Col. Leland Bohannon.
Col. Leland Bohannon was asked in May 2017 to sign a "certificate of spouse appreciation" for a retiring master sergeant in a same-sex "marriage."
As a devout Christian, Bohannon refused to sign the document stating it would violate his religious belief of marriage being between one man and one woman. As a result, the Air Force suspended the colonel and effectively ended his career.
As a result, "Bohannon was relieved of command. Additionally, a letter sent by a superior officer recommended against Bohannon’s promotion to brigadier general, effectively ending his career."
But Col. Bohannon's religious liberty was restored after an appeal to the Air Force Review Boards Agency. Secretary Wilson announced Monday that the Agency ruled in favor of the religious liberty of the colonel saying:
The director [of the Agency] concluded that Colonel Bohannon had the right to exercise his sincerely held religious beliefs and did not unlawfully discriminate when he declined to sign the certificate of appreciation for the same sex spouse of an Airman in his command. (Emphasis added.)
This is a tremendous victory for religious liberty in President Donald Trump's administration and in the armed services. The glory for the success belongs to God alone.
Christians who work together and stand for righteousness can make a difference.

Obama expects expensive burial rights and property on your Dollars ... Thx Paul C!

Say it is not true!

This is absolutely out of line. RB
When a president dies, the country pays for their burial. In the case of a president like JFK, who was a war hero and assassinated in the middle of a term, something extravagant is in order.
His burial at Arlington with the memorial paid for by the people cost almost $4 million in today's money, adjusted for inflation. The Kennedy family paid for the casket, vault and the eternal flame.
Ronald Reagan, one of the most influential men in history, is buried in California at his Presidential Library, paid for by donations from the people and the Reagan family. In fact, other than Kennedy, which we can all agree was warranted, no president has ever cost the taxpayers more than $100K in today's money to bury.
The clause in the Presidential Contract, enacted by congress in 1819, states that the president shall receive the burial service deemed fit for his stature and that the cost of the funeral and burial plot will be paid for by the people of a grateful nation.
While every president who has died in modern history, except Reagan, took advantage of that perk of the presidency, none have gone so far that anyone would ever have noticed. Until now that is.
Barack Obama has just submitted his plans for burial in a plot that will house his entire family, citing the Kennedys, the Tafts, and the Roosevelts as precedent, inside a monument he had designed to celebrate the nation's first black president.
The monument, will cost the taxpayers roughly $120 million and will be listed as a national historical place with 24 hour protection from the 3rd US Infantry Regiment, just like the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The memorial would be built immediately upon approval and occupy the Northeast quadrant of the lawn near the Washington Monument with a view of the White House:

The monument itself would include quotes from his years as president along with a giant bronze statue and burial crypts for him and his family under a large arch.

You heard that right. Obama will be guarded around the clock in a monument among those of our founding fathers and greatest heroes, paid for by the taxpayers. It's not too late to call your congressman and object..
Government is always a way
for the few to exploit the many.

R U KIDDING ME?
Checked this one out, too, and it’s true. Plans have been submitted! Your tax $$ at work for an inflated EGO. Please read.
- R U KIDDING ME?
Since their dislike of this country and our flag was well known (always
apologizing, challenging and ignoring laws, rules, protocol without
congressional approval) I am immensely surprised he wants buried on
(in) or near soil. He has always had an exalted opinion of himself and in
death it seems he's no different!

He is a gift (?) that just keeps taking

American Family Association ... Thx Paul C!

A Personal Note from Tim Wildmon - AFA President

This is the greatest news ever shared!
Sunday, April 1, 2018
Dear Paul,
Resurrection Sunday is a time to Rejoice! Jesus paid a debt for us that no one else could ever pay so that we could have a meaningful and abundant life now and also be in heaven with Him for eternity. God gave the perfect sacrifice, His only Son, so that anyone could be forgiven and saved from their sin if they repent of their sin and believe in Him.
To be saved, you must believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sin, and receive Him as your personal Savior and Lord. If you believe Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins, you will also need to admit you are a sinner – as we all are. Romans 3:23 KJV says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” If you have never confessed your sin and belief in Christ, take time to do it right now. Jesus is the only way to be saved from your sins and receive eternal life.
After Jesus died on the cross, he was buried in a tomb, but on the third day, he rose from the dead. This is the Good News that Christians celebrate: His Resurrection! He is ALIVE! And one day our Savior will return. He, and only He, sets us free from our sins! “Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me’” John 14:6 KJV.
Watch this short video Jesus: The Life-Changer.
The birth of Jesus is wonderful, but the resurrection is even more exciting. Jesus accomplished what he came for. Jesus’ last words before dying on the cross were documented in John 19:30 as, “It is finished.” He knew that all was now completed and that Scripture would be fulfilled. To suggest that more needs to be done to earn your way to heaven is the same as saying Jesus died for nothing. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast” Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV.
Nails were not what held Jesus to the cross. Jesus had the power to come down from that cross, but He knew this is what had to be done for sinners to be saved. He died on the cross for you and me because of His love for us. He loved us that much! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16 KJV.
If you know of someone who has not placed their faith and hope in Jesus Christ, please pass this on to them. Share the greatest gift of all with them: a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and eternal life. Also, share this with your brothers and sisters in Christ so they may use this to share with others. God commands that we share the gospel with others. We need to help one another become passionate followers of Jesus Christ.

Have a meaningful Holy Week and blessed Resurrection celebration!
Thank you,
Tim

The Importance of the Resurrection to Christianity

The Resurrection Was Unique To Christianity
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is unique to the Christian faith - no other religious figure has ever predicted his own resurrection, and then accomplished it. All of the other world religions are based on a founder who lived in the past and whose religion is his only legacy. Mohammed died at age 61 on June 8, A.D. 632 in Medina. He is still dead. Confucius died and Buddha also died. They also remain dead - Jesus Christ is alive.
Summary
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is central to the Christian faith. It is mentioned over one hundred times in the New Testament. It was the main point for each sermon in the Book of Acts. Without it there is no Christian faith. Paul said the resurrection is important to the believer for a number of reasons. He said that Christian preaching is empty if Jesus did not come back from the dead. The faith of the believer is worthless if Christ is not risen because he is the object of the faith. In addition, Christ, is not whom He said He was. He would have been a liar. The apostles are also liars for testifying to a resurrection that did not occur. Furthermore, there is no forgiveness for anybody's sin. Those who have died believing in Christ have no hope. If hope in Christ is limited to this life, Christians are to be pitied above all people.
The resurrection is also important to the identity and mission of Jesus. First, the resurrection is important to His identity. The resurrection is the demonstration that Jesus indeed is the Son of God. The resurrection is also important to His character. Jesus would not have been a true prophet had He not come back from the dead as He predicted that He would. It is important to Jesus' ministry. If He did not come back from the dead then His ministry would have ended in defeat. Finally, it is important to His message. The centrality of the Christian message is that Jesus died and then came back from the dead. If He did not come back from the dead then there is no Christianity. Consequently we see that the resurrection of Jesus Christ is absolutely crucial to the Christian faith.

Dead Penguins ... Useless Info file ... Thx Paul C (I think) !

Subject: Dead Penguins
To:

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica ?  Where do they go?

Wonder no more ! ! !

It is a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintain a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into, and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:
"Freeze a jolly good fellow."
"Freeze a jolly good fellow."

You really didn't believe that I know anything about penguins, did you?

It's so easy to fool OLD people.

I am sorry, an urge came over me that made me do it!!!
