Sam, I enjoyed reading this e-mail and reminiscing about the good old days. We probably didn't think they were so good at the time but as we get older they really were. I remember quite a few of the ones mentioned in this e-mail.My husband and I went to a book signing at the Portsmouth Library today. (Sat.).Dick Burdette had written a revised book on "The Waterloo Wonders". I have his first book on it, I forget the year it was published. They were a tough team. I thought you and Dick Klitch would be there and I had a picture of Dreamland Pool for each of you. It is the same size of the PHS placemat I gave you. Two places that should have never been torn down. They tore down the Greyhound Bus Station last month. Portsmouth has very few landmarks still standing so sad. Take care.Phyllis Orth SparksSam, I am a year older than the last time I saw you, I am "plenty nine" now.. ha ha .
We are getting older, Phyllis, but, not to worry, Jack Plymale still considers that we are youngsters. Everything is relative!
Dick nor I knew of Dick Burdette's latest book signing. Like many, I used to have the Waterloo Wonders book, but can't find my copy. I probably loaned it to a friend. I had suggested to Dick and Jenny Lavender that Dick should have WW reprinted. I am sure a lot of people want copies of the new book.
Sam
