For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Portsmouth-Columbus Breakfast

This is interesting, Fred. Many of us passed the Studebaker Dealership walking west on Ninth Street to PHS. The last I knew it was the Goodwill store. My Uncle Ollie and Aunt Mabel Barney lived across the street (Don's and his sisters' Wilma, Dot, and Ruth's parents). The Barneys were also cousins to Bert and Jack Barney.

By praying, we can obtain a better future by obtaining change from this dreadful change we are suffering through right now.

Keep the faith!

Sam

Hello Sam...........Thanks again for all the interesting mail you send out...........my mother worked for the local Studebaker dealer for thirty some years, she was their bookeeper until they closed.......I remember very well when the news of the Tucker broke that there was sheer panic among that brand that perhaps they would take over all their business...the movie about that man and his car was very informative also...especially when reading the credits at the end of the movie....my son lived in York, Pa., and while vivsiting him a few short years ago I reminded my family of the Tucker that was on display at the museum nearby and that I would like to see it, so we went to see the Mighty Tucker and was very impressive to me since I grew up with Studebaker in my blood as I worked there in later years also and Jane has a nephew by marriage who happens to be a Studebaker..........thanks again for bringing to mind some fond memories of the past.......which looks much better than the future....Fred
