For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

More on Gus Thompson, Paul Walker... Jack H Plymale

My few readers should not resent me using my messages from Jack H Plymale, Portsmouth's bard via his, and mine, admired teacher, Bert Leach.

Sam, Gus Thompson was another" most unforgetable characters I ever met. I imagine he and Red played together at Highland. Doc there also.
Before we played Ashland our last of the year( they had beaten one of the Louisville boys schools the week before, Male Or Manual) and Walker had said in a pre-game talk that, any young horse can break wind in the morning, it takes an old horse to break wind at night. Once on defense we were talking it up and Gus Yelled down to me and then made a motion like he was breaking wind. He was fun to do anything with. He and Bobby Parks were two great ends.Bobby died, ,about two years from that game. Good.good player and fun guy. They said he had blood cancer, but I always guessed cycle cell anemia. I think they had his funeral in the auditoriun at the high school. Iwas in the service at that time, Jack P.

Thanks Jack! I remember Red being on the Trojans. It seems that you, Jim Fout, and Doc Yeagle mentioned him at the OSU football game we attended together. Great story and you make me see that run! I also slightly remember Betty Justice. Watkins Buick is also familiar in P'Town. Red had excellent friends as you testify of. I am sure that my departed Mound Park friends, Gib Lakeman, Gus Thompson, and Clark Rapalee could tell some wonderful stories of him.

Sam
