For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

UK 55 UConn 56 Final Four Semi-ending

Yes, Judi, In reality, we lost this game. You must credit UConn some; however, we were not firing on all cylinders. When we have missed free throws so badly and have allowed those freaky points like Lamb's lay in that crawled up over the rim, you cannot come out the winner.

Our players and coaches did well in major college basketball this season, just not good enough!  As you say, "it is what it is". And in this case it is the end of the season. I think many other basketball fans are happy this morning (schadenfreude!)  alas, our Mudville was Houston and, we Kentucky fans are not happy.  I have been a loser and a winner and winning is much more fun!

It was good to get some support from a few talking heads of the nation, but our team was just not there in our loss.  I know that you and Jeanie and I are proud to be fans of the University of Kentucky basketball team of 2011 and of all the Kentucky teams of all seasons.

Big Blue condolences ...

Sam & Jeanie

Well, Sam, we just couldn't pull it off tonight. I know you and Jeanie are feeling pretty down right now and I am too. It will take us a while to recover!

I felt so sorry for the players and all the fans who went to Houston. We had a heckuva ride with this team, but this last game we weren't as sharp as we had been in the games against OSU and UNC.

The cold start and not enough offensive rebounding really hurt us. I wish Josh had not gotten those early fouls because we wouldn't have been down by 10 at halftime. Oh well, it is what it is and we fans have to be proud of these young men who played their hearts out at the end of the season.

Take care!
