John,
I have two great Portsmouth friends. Ronnie Walters just can't beat John Bob Looney in golf. I am afraid he might weaken and vote for the little o if he hears of this so I won't tell him about it. ;)

New Federal Golf Rules :
These new golf rules will be in effect beginning October 1, 2011. Please share with fellow golfers.
President BHO has recently appointed a Golf Czar and major rule changes in the game of golf will become effective October 1, 2011. This is only a preview as the complete rule book (expect 2000 pages) is being rewritten as we speak.
Here are a few of the changes.
Golfers with handicaps:
- below 10 will have their green fees increased by 35%.
- between 11 and 18 will see no increase in green fees.
- above 18 will get a $20 check each time they play.
The term "gimmie" will be changed to "entitlement" and will be used as follows:
- handicaps below 10, no entitlements.
- handicaps from 11 to 17, entitlements for putter length putts.
- handicaps above 18, if your ball is on green, no need to putt, just pick it up.
These entitlements are intended to bring about fairness and, most importantly, equality in scoring. In addition, a Player will be limited to a maximum of one birdie or six pars in any given 18-hole round. Any excess must be given to those fellow players who have not yet scored a birdie or par. Only after all players have received a birdie or par from the player actually making the birdie or par, can that player begin to count his pars and birdies again. The current USGA handicap system will be used for the above purposes, but the term "net score" will be available only for scoring those players with handicaps of 18 and above.
This is intended to "re-distribute" the success of winning by making sure that in every competition, the above 18 handicap players will post only "net score" against every other player's "gross score." These new Rules are intended to CHANGE the game of golf.
Golf must be about Fairness. It should have nothing to do with ability, hard work, practice, and responsibility. This is the "Right thing to do."

For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

2012 CAMPAIGN POSTER
'going viral'.
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure,
the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy,
its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.."
-- Winston Churchill
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read: Unfortunately, most voters don't know this.
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them; and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work, because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
Can you think of any reason for not sharing this?
Neither could I.

A fly in the toilet ... thanks tom & Carolyn Lynch!
Subject: Fly in the toilet.....Funny
When my friend went to the men's room in the Schiphol Airport located in Amsterdam, he saw a fly and did his best to 'wash' it down the drain...but failed. He figured the fly had super glue foot pads!
Now he knows why it was there!
Who says you can't potty train a male?

LIFE THOUGHTS BY'Papa Duck'
I saw a woman wearing a sweat shirt with 'Guess' on it.
So I said 'Implants?'
She hit me.
How come we choose from just
two people to run forpresident and over fifty for Miss America ?
Now that food has replaced sex in my life, I can't even get into my own pants.
I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose fitting clothing. If I HAD any loose fitting clothing, I wouldn't have signed up in the first place!
When I was young we used to go 'skinny dipping,' now I just 'chunky dunk.'
Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.
Wouldn't it be nice if whenever we messed up our life we could simply press 'Ctrl Alt Delete' and start all over? AMEN, AMEN!
Why is it that our childrencan't read a Bible in school, but they can in prison?
A completely brilliant question!
Wouldn't you know it.....
Brain cells come and brain cells go, but FAT cells live forever.
Why do I have to swear on the Bible in court when the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed outside?
Another completely brilliant question!
Bumper sticker of the year:
'If you can read this, thank a teacher -and, since it's in English, thank a soldier'
This is a very special statement!
And remember: life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
Ya just might want to pass this along.

Bus Ride ... Oh Margie! Toupee or not toupee ;)
BUS TRIP
A senior citizens' group charters an overnight gambling casino bus trip from MD to Branson, MO.
As they entered Missouri, an elderly woman comes up to the bus driver and says, 'I've just been molested!'
The driver felt that she had fallen asleep and had a dream. So he tells her to go back to her seat, and sit down.
A short time later, another old woman comes forward, and claims that she was just molested.
The driver thought he had a bus load of old wackos, but who would be molesting those old ladies?
About 10 minutes later, a third old lady comes up and says that she'd been molested, too.
The bus driver decides that he'd had enough and pulls into the first rest area. When he turns the lights on and stands up, he sees an old man on his hands and knees crawling in the aisles.
'Hey gramps, what are you doing down there?' says the bus driver.
'I lost my toupee. I thought I found it three times, but every time I try to grab it, it runs away!'

Poorest junk bond towns ... thanks John & Yvette Massey!
Of the 7,800 bonds in the U.S. secured by state or local governments, only 25 are currently speculative-grade, or junk-bonds, rated by Moody's Ba1 or lower. Only municipalities received such low ratings, and the reasons vary. Moody's report, "A Look at Speculative-Grade Local Governments in the Wake of the Recession," details the economic issues that have lead each into junk-bond territory. 24/7 Wall St. has analyzed the nine worst cities, whose credit rating is Ba2 and lower.
More from 247WallSt.com:
• America's Poorest States
• The Eight Beers Americans No Longer Drink
• America's Most Dysfunctional Boards
Each of these municipalities faces a unique situation, Moody's explains, and the list is not indicative of a greater trend. Most municipalities, Moody's writes in the report "face deeper and longer-standing problems than investment-grade issuers." Analysis by 24/7 Wall St., however, reveals a number of commonalities between the lowest-rated areas.
For instance, a number of the municipalities on the list are facing shrinking tax bases possibly exacerbated by the recession and high unemployment. Some cities, such as Detroit and Pontiac, have had their economies devastated by the recession. Their populations have decreased dramatically and struggling major tax-paying corporations have contributed much.
Other cities have excessive liabilities that they are unable to meet. Central Falls, RI, declared bankruptcy in August due largely to its bloated pension plan. Strafford County, NH, spends two-fifths of its budget on a single nursing home. It funds residents' Medicaid, but is not receiving full reimbursement from the state, causing multi-million dollar deficits.
Other municipalities have simply made bad investments. Harrison, NJ, built a $200 million sports arena that has not brought in the amount of money the city was expecting. Similarly, Salem, NJ, built a large office building downtown with the intention of leasing office space. But construction delays caused lease payment delays and money has been taken from the debt fund numerous times.
24/7 Wall St. has looked at the nine municipal bodies with the worst credit ratings assigned by Moody's, not including school systems, rated Ba2 and lower. To get a sense of how these areas are doing, we also included most recent median household income figures from the Census Bureau. This level of credit rating implies a substantial risk of default for investors who bought these bonds with the expectation of being repaid.
This is 24/7 Wall St.'s list of Nine American Cities Going Broke.
1. Central Falls, RI
Credit rating: Caa1
2009 revenues: $17,601,000
2009 debt ($000s): $18,753,000
Median household income: $33,520
In August 2011, Central Falls declared bankruptcy largely because of the city's pension plan, which promised $80 million in retirement benefits. According to the New York Times, the "pension fund will probably run out of money in October, giving Central Falls the distinction of becoming the second municipality in the United States to exhaust its pension fund, after Prichard, Ala." This $80 million is approximately five times the city's general fund budget.
2. Pontiac, MI
Credit rating: Caa1
2009 revenues: $46,183,000
2009 debt ($000s): $99,115,000
Median household income: $32,199
The source of Pontiac's troubles is similar to that of Detroit's. General Motors, which went bankrupt during the recession, is the city's largest employer and taxpayer. The city has been in receivership since 2009. Also in 2009, the city sold its Silverdome stadium, which cost over $55 million to build, for $583,000. Such concessions have not been enough to raise the city's rating.
3. Jefferson County, AL
Credit rating: Caa1
2009 revenues: $309,440,000
2009 debt ($000s): $1,337,233,000
Median household income: $44,718
Jefferson County's debt, which is the second largest on this list, comes from a $3.2 billion overhaul of the county's sewer system as well as a series of risky, controversial bond deals meant to help the county pay for the sewer work. A number of city officials have been sent to jail on corruption charges linked to the project. "The county defaulted on almost $3.5 million in 2008 — the biggest default in municipal history," according to Moody's. Worse still, this year, the Alabama Supreme Court invalidated the county's occupational tax, which accounted for one quarter of the county's total revenues.
4. Harrison, NJ
Credit rating: Ba3
2009 revenues: $32,763,000
2009 debt ($000s): $92,613,000
Median household income: $49,596
Harrison "issued a significant amount of debt to foster redevelopment, and continues to collect substantially less revenue from those developments than projected," Moody's explains. One of the largest projects is the $200 million Red Bull Arena, which was opened in March 2010 and cost the city $39 million in debt but has yet failed to have the expected returns. To help solve its debt problem, the city, which has a population of 13,620, plans to fire some police officers and firefighters.
5. Detroit, MI
Credit rating: Ba3
2009 revenues: $1,280,791,000
2009 debt ($000s): $2,449,480,000
Median household income: $29,447
Detroit has suffered worse from the recession than almost any other U.S. city. The effects of the city's economic situation are reflected in its credit rating. Many of Detroit's biggest companies, such as General Motors and Chrysler, declared bankruptcy, placing "significant pressure" on the city, according to Moody's. Detroit relies on the auto industry for its tax base, and the industry's contraction has hurt the city immensely. The city became a "habitual note borrower," relying on investors to close budget gaps.
6. Salem, NJ
Credit rating: Ba3
2009 revenues: $7,059,000
2009 debt ($000s): $10,098,000
Median household income: $28,397
Salem guaranteed bonds issued to finance an office building downtown. The city planned to pay for the bonds with revenues earned from leasing office space in the building. However, revenue fell short of what was projected when construction delays caused lease payments delays. "The project's debt service reserve fund has been drawn down numerous times," Moody's reports. "Once the reserve fund has been exhausted, the city is obligated to pay debt service for the life of the bonds."
7. Riverdale, IL
Credit rating: Ba2
2009 revenues: $8,358,000
2009 debt ($000s): $9,350,000
Median household income: $40,659
Riverdale has run operational deficits for a number of consecutive years, driven primarily by a reduction in the amount the village relies on debt financing. "The village funded itself by borrowing money from its sewer and water funds, and now carries an operating fund balance of -52.1% of revenues." The city, like many others on this list, is extremely small, with a population of just over 14,000.
8. Strafford County, NH
Credit rating: Ba2
2009 revenues: $36,204,000
2009 debt ($000s): $23,866,000
Median household income: $58,363
Strafford County's low rating is largely due to a money-losing nursing home, on which the county spends two-fifths of its budget. Just under 85% of the patients at the Riverside Rest Home are eligible for Medicaid, yet state reimbursements to the county continue to decrease, according to Moody's. Between 2004 and 2009, the nursing home lost $36 million. The county does not expect to recover much of the money it used to cover these deficits.
9. Camden, NJ
Credit rating: Ba2
2009 revenues: $181,257,000
2009 debt ($000s): $103,284,000
Median household income: $25,418
Camden suffers from high unemployment, high poverty, and a weak tax base. The city's median household income is less than half that of the national median income and is the lowest of all the municipalities on this list. Moody's notes that "more than half of Camden's real estate is tax-exempt, hampering already weak tax collections." The city has had a speculative grade credit rating since 1998. Three out of the past five Camden mayors have been sent to prison for corruption, the most recent in 2001.

Three out of the past five Camden mayors have been sent to prison for corruption, the most recent in 2001.

obama's illegal internet takeover ... Thanks Sarah Rapp!

Subject: Action Needed: Obama's Internet Takeover to Begin Nov. 20
Grassfire Nation Update
Brown,
Late last week, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
took what is being called "the final step" towards implementing
their illegal Net Neutrality regulations.
You may recall, that back on December 21, the FCC bypassed
government regulations and seized control of the Internet --
delivering what many believe is a knockout blow to one of
the last, great free-market frontiers our nation and the
world has ever seen.
According to the organization Less Government, regardless of
multiple lawsuits, a move by the House of Representatives
and a D.C. Circuit Court unanimously ruling that the FCC
had no authority to take control, the fed is still arrogantly
pushing forward toward full implementation of their Net
Neutrality regulation on November 20!
The FCC's Net Neutrality regulations would be job-killers --
likely stifling the $30 billion annually that investors pour
into Internet development and advancement and hundreds of
thousands of jobs.
And that's not the worst of it... As we warned several months
ago, these regulations will lead to the FCC's control of
Web content!
Should we expect anything less?
Considering government growth and control is surging while
private sector job opportunities continue shrinking! Now
Americans are in danger of losing their free speech rights
through this latest FCC Net Neutrality power-grab!
+ + A Grassroots Call to Action!
The only way to stop this runaway train is for grassroots
Americans to appeal to the Senate to move quickly to pass
a Congressional Review Act (CRA) Resolution that would
effectively kill the illegal, job-killing Net Neutrality order.
Brown, having already signed our petition to stop the fed
takeover of the Internet, we are asking for your help in
two vital ways.
First, forward this alert to 25-30 friends and family inviting
them to take action with you and against this federal power-
grab that is set to go into effect on November 20.
Direct them to sign our national petition by clicking here:
http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=50938&RID=32619374
With more than 100,000 petitions already in hand, Grassfire
Nation is relying on our team to help rally and mobilize an
additional 50,000 citizen signers over the next several weeks
leading to our delivery to the FCC and key members of the Senate.
+ + Fax Your Senators Today
Brown, we've also created an exclusive platform giving
citizens like you the ability to fax your personal comments
to your North Carolina Representative and two Senators, as
well as other key lawmakers regarding the FCC power-grab of
the Internet simply by clicking below.

Subject: To my Friends.
Think about this for a minute....
If you happened to show up on my door step crying,
I would care!
If you called me and asked
Me to pick you up because something happened,
I would come!
If you had one day left
To live your life,
I would want to be part of
That last day!
If you needed a shoulder
To cry on,
I would give you mine!
This is a test to see who your real
Friends are or if you are just someone
To talk to you when they are bored.
Do you know what the relationship is between your two eyes?
They blink together,
They move together,
They cry together,
They see things together,
And they sleep together,
But they never see each other;
....that's what friendship is.
It's
'World Best Friends Week'
Send this to all your good friends, even me,
If I am one of them..
See how many you get back
If you get more than 3
Then you really are
A lovable person...
Life isn't about how you survived the storm...
it's about how you danced in the rain!

Non-Representatives of 'We the People' Thanks Dan!
I wonder what these lawyer-lobbyists do in DC all of the time. You bet they get their way with our non-representatives.

Mitch Albom's "the five people you meet in heaven"
I read very few books any more due to my time spent at this computer. While my computer was down recently I read Mitch Albom's "the five eople you meet in heaven." and I highly reccommend it for a good read. I will soon have my nionth book out and I reccommend it too. In my first Acquaintances With Integrity" book and in this second one I asked each interviewee about their thoughts of tyhe hereafter. Mitch's book is fiction and the answers of these wonderful interviewees is real but it all remains speculaton. Mitch is a Detroit sportswriter.

He's My Brother - This is Priceless
Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and preceded to the checkout counter.
The man at the counter asked the older boy, "Son, how old are you?"
"Eight," the boy replied.
The man continued, "do you know what these are used for?"
The boy replied, "not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these you would be able to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do either."

Nothing wrong with new stamp's glue ... Thanks Lyle!
Just in case you did not hear about this from the Postal Service:
The Postal Services created a stamp with a picture of President Obama on it. The Postal Service noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings:
1. The stamp is in perfect order.
2. There is nothing wrong with the glue.
3. People are spitting on the wrong side

Sam,
On Friday, actor Morgan Freeman launched into an anti-Tea
Party rant during an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan in
which Freeman called the Tea Party "racist" and the "weak,
dark underside of America." Part of the transcript:
Morgan Freeman: [The Tea Party's] policy is to
do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama
only serves one term. What underlines that?
"Screw the country! We're going to do whatever
we can to get this black man out of here."
Piers Morgan: "But is that necessarily a racist
thing?
Morgan Freeman: "It is a racist thing!"
Piers Morgan: Does it unnerve you that the Tea
Party is gaining such traction?
Morgan Freeman: Yes, It just shows the weak, dark
underside of America.

That's right! Only eight percent---the least, by far, of the last 19 presidents! And these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business? They know what's best for GM, Chrysler, Wall Street, and you and me? How can the president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one? Or about jobs when he has never really had one? And when it's the same for 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers? They've spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs or as "community organizers." They should have been in an employment line.
Pass this on! We'll NEVER see these facts in the main stream media.

Recycled and worth it ... Thanks Dan Baird!
An old recycle, but so, so touching, Dan!

A man was leaving a convenience store with his morning coffee...
...when he noticed a most unusual funeral procession approaching the
nearby cemetery.
A black hearse was followed by a second black hearse about 50 feet
behind the first one. Behind the second hearse was a solitary man
walking a dog on a leash. Behind him, a short distance back, were
about 200 men walking single file.
The man couldn't stand the curiosity. He respectfully approached the
man walking the dog and said, "I am so sorry for your loss, and this
may be a bad time to disturb you, but I've never seen a funeral like
this. Whose funeral is it?"
"My wife's."
''What happened to her?"
The man replied, "My dog attacked and killed her."
He inquired further, "But who is in the second hearse?"
The man answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife
when the dog turned on her."
A very poignant and touching moment of brotherhood and silence, passed
between the two men.
"Can I borrow the dog?"

The man replied, "Get in line."
Apologies for my computer problems ... Sam Kegley
Please forgive my tardiness in not posting on the blog for the last few days.
First this computer stopped, apparently dead, for a few days and then, came back on mysteriously. I sense an electronic miracle in cyberspace because I don't understand, but there is so much about electronics I don't understand. I am also finishing my ninth book- "Acquanitences With Integrity II" and even had to spend last Friday at Westerville's Public Library on one of their computers, revising some formatting for my flash card of the book contents.
Yesterday, my young son, Jeff's fiftieth birthday party (a surprise by his wife Suzy and our oldest son, Jay) leaves Jeanie and me somewhat exhausted with a full day of medical visits (none serious) ahead today.
Paul's wife, Mary, sent me an email last night that Paul, my youngest of three remaining brothers- George, Jim, and Paul- finally went to the Dr. with his symptoms and found that he has pneumonia. Hopefully, medicine and rest will bring him back to the fullness of his life with all my invited prayers by you, my cyber-friends.
I hope to be back posting in the morning.

Portsmouth's Coach Bill Rohr ... Thanks Blaine Bierley!
Great story, Blaine!
Coach Rohr also was my best teacher among so many fine teachers in Portsmouth Ohio. He cut me from the PHS basketball tryouts, but he took my compatriot, Dick Klitch, who became his best Trojan, while playing only in his senior year due to being cut in previous tryouts. I often repeat that Dick is Portsmouth's only Singles Tennis Champion and played an additional four years for Coach Rohr at Miami. Coach Rohr and Dick Klitch are both in Miami's Basketball Hall of Fame- Dick also for Miami's Tennis Hall of Fame.

Coach William “Bill” Rohr
Old-time Trojan fans will remember the name of Bill Rohr, who coached PHS basketball for five years just after World War II (1946-1951). You may enjoy this trip down Memory Lane with me remembering Coach Rohr.
William D. Rohr was born in Massillon, Ohio, in 1918. He was a star athlete at Massillon’s Washington High School and graduated from there in the class of 1936. Rohr made his name in basketball as an All-Ohioan and played under the coaching of the legendary Paul Brown, who coached both the Tiger’s football and basketball teams. Brown said that Bill Rohr was the best basketball player he ever coached.
He attended Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, where he was an All-Buckeye Conference guard. After graduating from Ohio Wesleyan in 1940, Rohr returned to Massillon to begin his coaching experience with his mentor Paul Brown. He then returned to Ohio Wesleyan for a brief coaching stint before he entered the Army Air Corps in 1942.
After the war was over, in 1946, Rohr took the head basketball coaching position at Portsmouth High School. In his five seasons at PHS, Coach Rohr led the Trojan round-ballers to an 82-29 record and captured three district titles along the way.
Rohr went from PHS to Miami University at Oxford, Ohio, in September of 1951. He was an immediate success there and his Redskins won 91 and lost 47 games in six seasons. During his tenure at Miami the Redskins won four Mid-American Conference championships.
In 1957 Coach Rohr moved up to the Big Ten Conference as head basketball coach of the Northwestern University Wildcats in Evanston, Illinois. From 1957 to 1962 his teams compiled a 66-58 record. An interesting sidebar to Rohr’s Northwestern job was that he took Bob Doll (PHS ‘50) along with him as an assistant coach. Doll was a Miami standout from 1951 to 1954 who played for Rohr at PHS and followed his high school coach to Miami.
In 1962 he assumed the post as Director of Athletics and Physical Education at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, which he held for 15 years, retiring in 1978. During the 1975-1976 school year, Bill Rohr was President of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and was viewed by many as a pioneer in women’s college athletics.
After Bill retired as Athletic Director of Ohio University in 1978, he and his wife, Mary Ellen, moved to Oxford, Ohio. Coach Rohr passed away in Oxford in 1986 at the age of 68. He had one son and two daughters. He is enshrined in the following Collegiate Halls of Fame: Ohio Wesleyan University, Miami University, and Ohio University.

Where did the shirt come from, Bob?
I believe the fourth person may be Greg Hatch, but, otherwise, it is Dick Klitch, Bob Looney and Ron Walters from left to right.
Who got that shirt for him, Bob? It would not have been Joan. I saw him Tuesday morning at breakfast with Smokey Gibson, now 90, and his wife Alice. He looks a lot healthier with that forty pounds, but he is looking healthier each time I see him. Smokey said: "Somebody is looking after you."
Coach Smoke is also looking good.
You and I and Ronnie know that he had a lot of Mound Park Urchin prayers as well as those of other P'Town friends.
Thanks JBL!

Baptizing a drunk ... Thanks John Bob!
Robert,
I hope no preachers see this except the ones I am bcc'ing.
This one is almost like the days Gus Thompson preached in the old minstrel wagon in Mound Park. Preacher Gus said at the end of his unserious and funny sermon: "If I had my way, they would take all of the licquor in Portsmouth and throw it into the Ohio river. Now, Mr,. Lakeman, please lead our congregation in song." Choir Director Gib raised his hands and said: "Let us sing: "Shall we gather at the river." It is an old one but I believe it started with Gus and Gib (old Trojan war horses) in Mound Park.

Baptizing A Drunk
A man is stumbling through the
woods totally drunk when he comes upon a preacher baptizing people in the
river.
The drunk walks into the water and subsequently bumps into the preacher. The
preacher turns around and is almost overcome by the smell of booze.
Whereupon he
asks the drunk, 'Are
you ready to find Jesus?'
'Yes I am'replies the drunk, so the preacher grabs
him and dunks him in the river. He pulls him up and asks the drunk, 'Brother
have you found Jesus?'
The drunk replies, 'No, I
haven't.'The preacher, shocked at the answer, dunks him into the water
again, but for a
bit longer this time. He pulls him out of the water and asks again, 'Have
you
found Jesus, my brother?'
The drunk again answers, 'No, I
have not found Jesus.'
By this time the preacher is at his wits end so he dunks
the drunk in the water again, but this time he holds him down for about 30
seconds.
When the drunk begins kicking his arms and legs, the preacher
pulls him up. The preacher asks the drunk again, 'For the
love of God, have you found Jesus?'
The
drunk wipes his eyes and catches his breath and says to the
preacher,
'Are you sure this is where he fell
in?'

A little long but well worth the read. Most of us already have seen this coming.
------------------------
You're sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door.
Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear,
you hear muffled whispers.
At least two people have broken into your
house and are moving your way.
With your heart pumping, you reach down
beside your bed and pick up your shotgun.
You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch
toward the door and open it.
In the darkness, you make out two shadows.
One holds something that looks like a crowbar.
When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike,
you raise the shotgun and fire.
The blast knocks both thugs to the floor.
One writhes and screams while the second
man crawls to the front door and lurches outside.
As you pick up the telephone to call police,
you know you're in trouble.
In your country, most guns were outlawed years
before, and the few that are privately owned
are so stringently regulated as to make them useless..
Yours was never registered.
Police arrive and inform you
that the second burglar has died.
They arrest you for First Degree Murder
and Illegal Possession of a Firearm.
When you talk to your attorney, he tells
you not to worry: authorities will probably
plea the case down to manslaughter.
"What kind of sentence will I get?" you ask.
"Only ten-to-twelve years,"
he replies, as if that's nothing.
"Behave yourself, and you'll be out in seven."
The next day, the shooting is the lead
story in the local newspaper.
Somehow, you're portrayed as an eccentric
vigilante while the two men you shot
are represented as choirboys.
Their friends and relatives can't find
an unkind word to say about them..
Buried deep down in the article, authorities acknowledge that both "victims" have been arrested numerous times.
But the next day's headline says it all:
"Lovable Rogue Son Didn't Deserve to Die."
The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters..
As the days wear on, the story takes wings.
The national media picks it up,
then the international media.
The surviving burglar
has become a folk hero.
Your attorney says the thief is preparing
to sue you, and he'll probably win.
The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you've been critical of local police for their lack
of effort in apprehending the suspects.
After the last break-in, you told your neighbor
that you would be prepared next time.
The District Attorney uses this to allege
that you were lying in wait for the burglars.
A few months later, you go to trial.
The charges haven't been reduced,
as your lawyer had so confidently predicted.
When you take the stand, your anger at
the injustice of it all works against you..
Prosecutors paint a picture of you
as a mean, vengeful man.
It doesn't take long for the jury to convict
you of all charges.
The judge sentences you to life in prison.
This case really happened.
On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth,Norfolk, England, killed one burglar and wounded a second.
In April, 2000, he was convicted
and is now serving a life term...
How did it become a crime to defend one's
own life in the once great British Empire ?
It started with the Pistols Act of 1903.
This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license..
The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns..
Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.
Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerford mass shooting in 1987.
Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the streets shooting everyone he saw.
When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead.
The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of "gun control", demanded even tougher restrictions.
(The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.)
Nine years later, at Dunblane, Scotland,
Thomas Hamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.
For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable, or worse, criminals.
Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners.
Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns.
The Dunblane Inquiry, a few months later, sealed the fate of the few sidearms still owned by private citizens.
During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights, the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism.
Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened, claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun.
Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.
Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying,
"We cannot have people
take the law into their own hands."
All of Martin's neighbors
had been robbed numerous times,
and several elderly people were severely injured
in beatings by young thugs
who had no fear of the consequences.
Martin himself, a collector of antiques,
had seen most of his collection
trashed or stolen by burglars.
When the Dunblane Inquiry ended,
citizens who owned handguns
were given three months to turn them over
to local authorities.
Being good British subjects,
most people obeyed the law.
The few who didn't were visited by police
and threatened with ten-year prison sentences
if they didn't comply.
Police later bragged that they'd taken
nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens.
How did the authorities know who had handguns?
The guns had been registered and licensed.
Kind of like cars. Sound familiar?

Constitutional- Proposed 28th amendment. Thanks Ron Walters!
I challenge you to read this and NOT have the will to pass it on to your 20…
No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.
Monday we learned that the staffers of Congress family members are exempt from having to pay back student loans. This will get national attention if news networks will broadcast it.. When you add this to the below, just where will all of it stop?
This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.
This is an idea that we should address.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don't care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message.. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
Ron,
I have received several other similar emails over the last year at least. The 28th amendment seems entirely likable by me: however with the current PUSA and liberal Congress members, it scares me to have a Constitutional Convention. obama and his ilk would do away with the Constitution and would fight to do that at any convention. Certainly they should not win; however we saw that they voted o into power as the greatest mistake of this partnership government our forefathers established in the USA.
So, I like it friend. But I want the constitution strengthened. not obliterated into the hands of those who back socialistic communism.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States ."
You are one of my 20+
No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S.

National day of prayer ... thanks Nita Elliott!
a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

THIS IS WHAT A TRAITOR LOOKS LIKE
TO MOST OF US.
In
1952
President Truman
Established one day a year as a
"National Day of Prayer."

In
1988
President Reagan
Designated the
First Thursday in May of each year as
The National Day of Prayer.

In June
2007
(then)
Presidential

Of "not wanting to offend anyone"
------------------------------------------------------------------------
BUT... On September 25, 2009
From 4 AM until 7 PM,
A National Day of Prayer
FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION
Was Held on Capitol Hill,
Beside the White House.
There were over 50,000 Muslims
In D.C. That day.
HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS!
I guess it Doesn't matter
If "Christians"
Are offended by this event -
We obviously
Don't count as

The direction this country is headed
Should strike fear in the heart of every Christian,
Especially knowing that the
Muslim religion believes that if Christians cannot be
Converted, they should be annihilated.

Quotes from obama from his books Thanks Ramey Sonny Hoskins!
Got this from an email friend. I have not read these books. Don't believe I have the stomach for it!
Ramey
I have read them and was impressed that he was anti-white and 'for the muslims'. The quotes from the books "Audacity of Hope" and "Dreams of my Father" are accurate. He has already done enough to destroy so much of our society. If he and the liberal media can pull it off and if he can steal enough votes he might win. My hope is with the Tea Party and intelligent independents to send him out of office, Ramey!
We simply must!
Sam
The character of any man is defined by how he treats his mother as the years pass .... need I say more about this person below other than there is no character, no integrity but there is a ton of attitude and arrogance that defines his shallow past and hollow future .... I rest my case..
I bought and read Obama's book, Audacity of Hope. It was difficult to read considering his attitude toward us and everything American. Let me add a phrase he use to describe his attitude toward whites. He harbors a "COIL OF RAGE". His words not mine.
THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT -- HE'S RUNNING AGAIN, YOU KNOW!
Is anyone out there awake?
Everyone of voting age should read these two books by him: Don't buy them, just get them from the library.
From Dreams From My Father:
"I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
From Dreams From My Father :
"I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."
From Dreams From My Father:
"There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white."
From Dreams From My Father:
"It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
From Dreams From My Father:
"I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."
And FINALLY ........... and most scary:
From Audacity of Hope:
"I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
If you have never forwarded an e-mail, now is the time to do so!!! We have someone with this mentality running our GREAT nation! Keep your eye on him and don't blink.
I don't care whether you are a Democrat, a Republican, a Conservative or a liberal, be aware of the attitude and character of this sitting President.
Spread the word! The second term he will make his move..
A HOUSE DIVIDED CAN NOT STAND
THE ABOVE IS THE REASON WHY HE WILL BE RE-ELECTED IN 2012....THE MUSLIMS, BLACKS, AND LIBERALS (AND LIBERAL MEDIA) LIKES HIM TOO MUCH AND HE IS JUST LIKE THEM....

A beef with McDonalds ... thanks good friend, Sarah Rapp!

I'm sure those of you who aren't in the cattle business don't
understand the issues here. But to those of us whose living
depends on the cattle market, selling cattle, raising the best
beef possible...This is frustrating. This will keep us
from ever stopping there again, even for a drink. The
original message is from the Texas Cattle Feeders
Association American cattle producers are very
passionate about this.
McDonald's claims that there is not enough beef in the USA to support
their restaurants. Well, we know that is not so. Our opinion is
they are looking to save money at our expense.. The sad
thing of it is that the people of the USA made
McDonald's successful in the first place, but we are not good
enough to provide beef.
We personally are no longer eating at McDonald's, which I am sure
does not make an impact, but if we pass this around
maybe there will be an impact felt.
All Americans who sell cows at a livestock auction barn have to sign a
paper stating that we do NOT EVER feed our cows any part of another
cow. South Americans are not required to do this as of yet.
McDonald's has announced that they are going to start importing much
of their beef from South America . The problem is that South Americans
aren't under the same regulations as American beef producers, and
the regulations they have are loosely controlled. They can spray
numerous pesticides on their pastures that have been
banned here at home because of residues found in the beef. They
can also use various hormones and growth regulators that we can't.
The American public needs to be aware of this problem and that they
may be putting themselves at risk from now on by eating at good
old McDonald's.
American ranchers raise the highest quality beef in the world and this
is what Americans deserve to eat. Not beef from countries where
quality is loosely controlled. Therefore, I am proposing a boycott of
McDonald's until they see the light.
I'm sorry but everything is not always about a Corporation's bottom
line, and when it comes to jeopardizing my family's health, that is
where I draw the line.
I am sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it
to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300) ..and those 300 send it to at
least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the
message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached
over THREE MILLION consumers!
I'll bet you didn't think you and I had that much potential, did you?
Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you,
please pass this message on.
