On Friday, actor Morgan Freeman launched into an anti-Tea

Party rant during an interview with CNN's Piers Morgan in

which Freeman called the Tea Party "racist" and the "weak,

dark underside of America." Part of the transcript:



Morgan Freeman: [The Tea Party's] policy is to

do whatever it takes to see to it that Obama

only serves one term. What underlines that?

"Screw the country! We're going to do whatever

we can to get this black man out of here."



Piers Morgan: "But is that necessarily a racist

thing?



Morgan Freeman: "It is a racist thing!"



Piers Morgan: Does it unnerve you that the Tea

Party is gaining such traction?



Morgan Freeman: Yes, It just shows the weak, dark

underside of America.
