We took our neighbors, Bill & Jackie Vorlicky, to Lexington one summer . He is a good school adminstrator who dearly loves Ohio State. We pulled down a muddy side street between the construction of Rupp and the land east and I proudly announced: I want to show you guys some real southern hospitality. I rolled my window down just in time to meet a puddle splashed into my face. We all enjoyed a good, if embarrassing, laugh!
Thank you two and Mr. Jordan, from the 'cultural center of our universe'!

A VERY INTERESTING ARTICLE!!
WHEN I LIVED IN TOLEDO AND WORKED FOR ELLERBE ARCHITECTS, I CREATED AND PUT TOGETHER THE TEAM TO DEVELOP RUPP ARENA. THE TEAM INCLUDED ELLERBEE, THE LOCAL ARCHITECT OF LEXINGTON, THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER,
HUNT CONSTRUCTION OF INDIANAPOLIS, AND THE DEVELOPER - LANDMARK DEVELOPMENT COMPANY OF ST PAUL, MN.
I WAS ALSO CHARGED WITH ITS THE CONSTRUCTION THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROJECT.
THE ENTIRE PROJECT INCLUDED THE ARENA, A MID-RISE HYATT HOTEL, A SHOPPING CENTER, AND SURROUNDING MALL AREA.
