Welcome

Welcome to my blog http://www.skegley.blogspot.com/ . CAVEAT LECTOR- Let the reader beware. This is a Christian Conservative blog. It is not meant to offend anyone. For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Random thoughts by SamKat

Random SamKat thoughts-

My metallurgy experiences were always good for me and have given us a good life ... , but I still I've had other thoughts-

I thought of buying an over-the-road tractor for driving at mid-career (because of the money) but it would have been my worst decision.  I later was discovered to have 'sleep apnea' and going to sleep driving can cause fatalities to far too many innocent people.

I thought of opening a restaurant or a franchise.  In retrospect, that is like another "marriage".  Several additional hours at work and many aspects of taxation and similar problems make that a bad choice for me.

I bid on a vacuum furnace at the NCR auction of their heat treating equipment.  Fortunately a Cincinnati company won the bid.  I would have been cash poor after the purchase and the main reason people go out of business is lack of liquidity.  Twenty per cent go out after the first year and eighty per cent before the fifth year for that very reason.

None of the above would have been enjoyed by my good and beautiful wife, Jeanie, except for the possibility of more income.

I am a Tea Party politico- a conservative Christian.  I trust neither the Republicans nor the Democrats who are in D.C. and who forgot that they are supposed to represent us.  I loved the 2010 election results.  I hope the Tea Partiers who were elected have not forgotten that we don't want them to become "Elitists" who fill their own pockets and expect us to worship them.

Jeanie and I are solid Buckeye football fans, but we are moreso Kentucky basketball fans.  UK football did not win us over, but we still enjoy their occasional win.

We caught "IT" (Kentucky basketball fandom) when we were at UK and we don't want a cure for "IT"!

We love John Calipari at UK and believe we will love Urban Meyers at OSU!  My oldest son cannot stand front runners, but I guess I am guilty with those two programs.

I would invest in a couple of my crazy inventions except that my sons wisely advised against such an investment from our dwindling and overtaxed retirement incomes.

Thank you, God ...  for a great family and for being raised in Portsmouth Ohio in the twentieth century.

Not that any of this matters to anybody other than me.
