For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Looking to cash in

Thursday, June 26, 2014 05:52 AM
State lawmakers were the top cash-prize winners in Ohio’s protracted fight to ban Internet sweepstakes cafés and the illegal gambling and crime they inflicted upon communities. In all, legislative campaign coffers netted more than $1 million from café supporters and opponents and their lobbyists as various moratoriums, regulations and bans for the cafes were debated between 2011 and 2013.

Hopewell relics a world treasure

Thursday, June 26, 2014 05:51 AM
Ohio has a world-class historical treasure in the constellation of ancient earthworks that dot the Scioto River valley, and a recent discovery could elevate their profile further. In the Hopewell Culture National Historical Park near Chillicothe, archaeologists are taking a closer look at what they believe may have been a “woodhenge” — a circle formed by wooden posts in the ground.

Jay Ambrose commentary: Climate-change scientist using court to silence skeptic

Libel — a falsity that smears a reputation — can be dreadful, and you ought to be able to sue and maybe win money if untrue, harmful things are being publicized about you. But watch out in public debates, because, if people are then allowed to sue too easily, they can squeeze needed discussion to puniness, as the Supreme Court recognized in a case against The New York Times half a century ago.

Victor Davis Hanson commentary: Iraq war did have positive outcomes

So who lost Iraq? The blame game mostly fingers incompetent Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. Or is Barack Obama culpable for pulling out all American troops monitoring the success of the 2007-08 surge?
