Sam, Glad you liked my summary of "How to Fix and Save Social Security".
I hereby authorize you to put my summary on your blog. I would appreciate very much if you would ask those who agree with my summary to contact AARP and urge them to get in touch with me and follow up on my writing. I am also sending you a copy of the book. Many people are concerned about the how of many other questions. The reason is that investing in equities is the elephant in the room and must be dealt with first. If I put several other things in the recommendation then each one could find detractors and nothing would get done. Congress must first act on investing Social Security Trust Funds in equities. Then I would like to write another book on this subject (which I have thoroughly studied) of how to get it done. Hope you agree this is long overdue and I HATE that all the politicians, think tank people and journalists blame the mess on increased longevity and want the retiree to suffer the consequences. The poor investment of the funds is the real culprit. Don Queen

Thanks Don!
The 'entitlements' claim is there by the politicians (Democrat and Republican); however the truth remains that if you have a pile of money in sight of those rogues, they find ways to use it selfishly. They, more or less, just shifted it to the general fund, which they have never managed well in emphasis on keeping themselves in office rather than represent "We the people". As the "money Manager to California State, your perspective is extremely important to our nation. I don't really understand "money", but your book should be read by every American, especially by us retirees using Social Security monies. Most all of us want to see our children and grandchildren be able to look at a decently earned retirement in the future.
I was so fortunate to know so many outstanding athletes in Southeastern Ohio. Don was outstanding for the small Green High Scchool basketball team in the east end of Scioto County. He graduated there in 1948 and played basketball for Marshall University after being close to making Adolph Rupp's leading basketball program at the University of Kentucky.
He called me yesterday to tell me he had just re-read my "Excellence in Athletics in the Portsmouth Area" book (2004). We had a great conversation of P'Town experiences. Don is certainly included in the book.
Thank you Mr. Queen! And now to post your summary and these email messages onto my www.skegley.blogspot.com SamKat blog. I am also forwarding it to many of my Portsmouth friends. You have done well and I hope my Tea Party friends and Senators Paul Ryan and Rob Portman- Dick Klitch's genius friend) also get to read the book.. I am interested in reading all of the book. You are generous in sending it to me, admirable friend!
