The Finish Line … in this life
A quick autobiography of Sam
No intro;
I am 83, in good physical
health in spite of ... oh, never mind.
I’m an American Christian Conservative
who cannot possibly get it all done..
I’ve fought hard all of my
life but I am still behind the curve.
Our condo home is mostly so nice
and neat to the credit of my wife, Jeanie.
My office is a mess to my own
credit.
When I touch a printed page I
should file it away, but I just … can’t prioritize..
When I back my Prius out of
the garage, I should begin the cleanup of the Berlin Wall in the garage, but I
have higher priorities.
We have a storage area full
of too much I should have thrown away, but I just could not part with it and
other things over –I intend to, but when?
I must prioritize the action.
Many can’t believe we gave so much to Salvation Army and a few others
when we left our house of 47 years.
I’m looking for a part time
job to use my talents, but the highest offer is about $8/hr as a dollar store clerk. I get so many of these offers from e-mail
head-hunters, it makes my head swim.
Such jobs have nil priority to this
retired engineer-teacher who has several small but regular annuities
This summer, if it ever gets
warm in Columbus, I will attack these chores when they que up as ‘Absolutely
Necessary”, but until then, I have my priorities set and I probably will not
finish the projects of lesser priority.
I want to live to be 84 in
November and I know I won’t have all of my jobs finished .
Have at it, my two wonderful
sons,,who seldom agree with me.
Each son is so unlike their dad in prioritizing neatness.
