Trumpland
2017
Times
are getting tough right now here on April 8. 2017, even though we have a
people’s elected President who intends to get good things done.
When
it comes time to do something about Syrian Assad and his inhumanely criminal acts against
his own people, we may be forced into an action.
Donald
Trump has talked tough about it and everybody is getting concerned that more
American troops may soon be required to fight and be killed and maimed. It is a true concern.
Donald
and his staff made their move and sent 59 missiles to destroy most of Assad’s
ability to deliver his stockpile of chemical weapons again anytime soon we
hope. It was a retaliation for Assad's use
of chemical weapons upon his own people.
The world has recognized the USA's retaliation and support for President Trump’s military
action has been largely endorsed.
We
await further events with bits of cautious anxiety throughout the world.
As
an aside, not entirely from the above,
I
have been substitute teaching after nineteen years retirement from my
engineering career. I see middle school
and high school young men in the class rooms which I don’t wish to see killed or
maimed in another conflict such as WWI or WW II that were meant to stop all
wars. Many of these kids I see are
thirteen to eighteen years old. I am
definitely against drafting girls except for non-battle jobs. I went into service during the Korean
conflict on my twentieth birthday.
I
believe all Christians should be praying for God to move for the good of this
globe. He will choose the time and place
to send His Son to earth again. I strongly believe God created the world and the means to populate it with all human beings.
Sam
Kat’s simple ‘pin ball machine’ theory, not given to me as a Christian, is that each
human is a pin ball. The lever is
pulled back and launches each baby (the pinball) into life. (God designed this fiction of my small
mind's imagination). From that, He gave each launched
human a free will. Each could pick their
own way down the slanted board of life.
Each
goes around the top of the slanted board away from the slot at its bottom which
takes us out of this world. The gravity
pulls us down the slant until we hit a bumper which robs some of our kinetic
energy and slows us down a bit. If our
“player” (Not God) is skillful, he can flip us back up until we again begin the
descent down the slanted board. Another
bumper or two and some may still be lasting on the higher parts of the slanted
board.
Losing
energy at each bumper we eventually lose sufficiently to harm our “player’s” efforts to
keep us live near the top of the board.
We slide down past each bumper
until
we are truly losing sufficient energy to stay on board and we eventually fall
into the slot at bottom.
That is life. Currently each pin ball lasts a lot longer on the
slanted board than our forefathers did only a century ago.
Nation “players”
such as the dictatorial Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Stalin, Castro, and all other hateful dictator types who insist upon mass devastation of even their own, send many humans down the slot
prematurely. Even in the free USA, many
now get ‘slotted’ before they are born.
Evil
thinking “players” have escalated around this world especially at least since the
seventh century, and we just cannot avoid being slotted even as strong
individuals.
The main weakness of God's people is sin involving selfishness
I
pray that Donald Trump will be sufficiently flexible to listen to all the
capable leaders he has assembled. Leaders such as Preibus, Pence, Bannon, Mattis, Conrad and Tillerson must
bring their best thoughts into the current world crises. I would hope that President Trump would gather
these people in a circle on their knees in prayer to ask God to bless their actions
to the best of humanity. I think the
action steps should be methodical and goal-oriented towards a better life for
all of the world’s citizens.
President
Trump said a lot when he closed his remarks about the missile launching a couple of night's ago with “
… God bless America and the entire world.”
The above comes from one of God's greatest sinners- me.
