Portsmouth Breakfast Meeting next Wednesday, March 20 @Bob Evans Olentangy River Road 8:30, below Riverside Hospital
Blaine Bierley (PHS 55) is no longer here (his recent memorial service was attended by eight of the club members). This is a reminder which he always sent out a week priorly.
I have talked with his wife, Carolyn, to inquire of being able to pick up the art work for the wonderful two page write-up Blaine always sent out after our meetings. He and Frank Hunter concocted. The PHS 55 Trojan Alumni Prints is still on line at PHS55.com per T. J. DuPuy. It would be wonderful if one or two of you younger guys (Sam, Is 86 now) could do the two-pager, given the art work. Probably nobody could ever match Blaine's wonderfully devoted works for each of us. Last meeting, we had five doctors and three others of us- impressive for any group, especially a small one like ours. Portsmouth area guys still love the good times we shared in our younger years.
I don't regularly visit the Portsmouth Daily times (Blaine did), but today's visit showed me none of my acquaintances. Wheelersburg (25-0) plays Div III in Athens tonight at 6:15 and New Boston Div IV play there beating Berne Union last night 69-64 and face Berlin Hyland there next game. This are the only area teams I noticed in the tournament in the Dispatch Sports.
The attendance and P'Town stories have been greatly appreciated by my low-level hearing attendance.
Sam Kegley (PHS 50)
