Racism goes both ways in black and white. A fairly long but interesting read.

Recently, she has published articles20on the significance of multiculturalism and Afrocentricism in education, the politics of victimization and the social and political impact of political correctness. No He Can't
by Anne Wortham
Fellow Americans,
Please know: I am black; I grew up in the segregated South. I did not vote for Barack Obama; I wrote in Ron Paul's name as my choice for president. Most importantly, I am no t race conscious. I do not require a black president to know that I am a person of worth, and that life is worth living. I do not require a black president to love the ideal of America .
I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my face. I am not jumping with joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes. For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival, – all that I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician. I would have to deny the nature of the "change" that Obama asserts has come to America . Most importantly, I would have to abnegate my certain understanding that you have chosen to sprint down the road to serfdom that we have been on for over a century. I would have to pretend that individual liberty has no value for the success of a human life. I would have to evade your rejection of the sl ender reed of capitalism on which your success and mine depend. I would have
to think it somehow rational that 94 percent of the 12 million blacks in this country voted for a man because he looks like them (that blacks are permitted to play the race card), and that they were joined by self-declared "progressive" whites who voted for him because he doesn't look like them. I would have to wipe my mind clean of all that I know about the kind of people who have advised and taught Barack Obama and will fill posts in his administration, – political intellectuals like my former colleagues at the Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government.
I would have to believe that "fairness" is the equivalent of justice. I would have to believe that man who asks me to "go forward in a new spirit of service, in a new service of sacrifice" is speaking in my interest. I would have to accept the premise of a man that economic prosperity comes from the "bottom up," and who arrogantly believes that he can will it into existence by the use of government force. I would have to admire a man who thinks the standard of living of the masses can be improved by destroying the most productive and the generators of wealth.
Finally, Americans, I would have to erase from my consciousness the scene of 125,000 screaming, crying, cheering people in Grant Park, Chicago irrationally chanting "Yes We Can!" Finally, I would have to wipe all memory of all the times I have heard politicians, pundits, journalists, editorialists, bloggers and intellectuals declare that capitalism is dead – and no one, including especially Alan Greenspan, objected to their assumption that the particular version of the anti-capitalistic mentality that they want to replace with their own version of anti-capitalism is anything remotely equivalent to capitalism.
So you have made history, Americans. You and your children have elected a black man to the office of the president of theUnited States , the wounded giant of the world. The battle between John Wayne and Jane Fonda is over – and that Fonda w on. Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern must be very happy men. Jimmie Carter, too. And the Kennedys have at last gotten their Kennedy look-a-like. The self-righteous welfare statists in the suburbs can feel warm moments of satisfaction for having elected a black person. So, toast yourselves: 60s countercultural radicals, 80s yuppies and 90s bourgeois bohemians. Toast yourselves, Black America . Shout your glee Harvard, Princeton , Yale, Duke, Stanford, and Berkeley. You have elected not an individual who is qualified to be president, but a black man who, like the pragmatist Franklin Roosevelt, promises to – Do Something! You now have someone who has picked up the baton of Lyndon Johnson's
Great Society. But you have also foolishly traded your freedom and mine, – what little there is left, – for the chance to feel good. There is nothing in me that can share your happy obliviousness.

For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

You probably already know this, but Gwili just called us and said Gerry DeArmond fell and broke his hip. I think just happened yesterday and he is coming home tomorrow. Said he is doing good. Also, Bob Whitehouse passed away about January 20th. Thought you would be interested if you didn't know. "Talk" to you soon.

Poem- Winter in Ohio- E-mail Deloris Salyers
Deloris Salyers is second from the left in this New Boston Photo
WINTER Poem
It's winter in Ohio
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.
Oh, how I love Ohio
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave Ohio
I'm frozen to the ground!

This will blow your mind.
Immigrants Over 65
Immigrants 65 or older can now apply for SSI and Medicaid and get more than a U.S. citizen born in the 1920s. For example, a typical American born in 1924 with a median income who worked from 1944 to 2004 receives only $791 a month. Incredibly, the federal government provides a single refugee with a monthly allowance of $1,890. In addition, each immigrant can obtain $580 in social assistance for a total of $2,470 a month. This contrasts to a single American taxpayer who, after contributing to the growth and development of this country for 40-50 years, receives a monthly maximum of $1,012 in old-age pension and Guaranteed Income Supplement. Maybe U.S. citizens who have paid into the social security fund over a lifetime should apply as refugees!
Does anyone have any doubt why our social security fund will be running out of money soon?
Consider sending this to all your American friends so we can all be sufficiently motivated to reverse this situation by getting the refugee handouts reduced to $1,012 and the compensation for U.S. pensioners increased to $2,470. This way, American citizens can start enjoying some of the hard-earned money we were forced to involuntarily contribute to the government over the last 40-60 years.
Please forward this e-mail to20every American friend you know so we can expose what our elected politicians have been doing during the past 11 years to us over-taxed Americans.

7 don'ts after a meal
* Don't smoke-Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
* Don't eat fruits immediately - Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1 hr before meal.
* Don't drink tea - Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.
* Don't loosen your belt - Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted &blocked.
* Don't bathe - Bathing will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
* Don't walk about - People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
* Don't sleep immediately - The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

French Underground-Greatness among the French
I must research the French underground people. They were brave beyond measure and were shown in many WWII movies from time to time. The French have accrued a name of cowardice, but it was not universally so.
Pat Richards mentions below that "greed" may ruin our great nation. Our politicians come out of office now with a heckofalot more than Harry Truman did. They 'represent us' ? but darn well take care of themselves very well!
Such greed can and may ruin our great nation unless a few brave souls are vigilant.

Harry Truman- Pat Richards Whitehead
My first option as a voter was Mr Truman. I never regretted it as I
have all others since.I have spoken with him twice and had the opportunity
to shake his hand once.. The experience, both times was as it might be when
you and I meet. I consider that he , probably, saved my life and 100's of
thousands others by ordering the dropping of the A bombs on Japan to end WW
11.I remember him as presidential patriot and not a democrat of the present
day variety.Ol "Giv em hell Harry was m ykinda guy.

I was just going to say that I agree with your brother that Harry was a great president. He was such a humble man and very honest. I wish we had more honest people running our government . I am afraid greed will ruin this great Nation of ours if it alread hasn't.

My brother George is right. Harry was the last great Democrat- President or whatever. Thanks Pat! I hope my comment doesn't personally hurt you.

Harry Truman was a different kind of President. He probably made as
many important decisions regarding our nation's history as any of the other
42 Presidents. However, a measure of his greatness may rest on what he did
after he left the White House.
The only asset he had when he died was the house he lived in, which was in
Independence , Missouri . His wife had inherited the house from her mother
and other than their years in the White House, they lived their entire lives there.
When he retired from office in 1952, his income was a U.S. Army pension
reported to have been $13,507.72 a year. Congress, noting that he was
paying for his stamps and personally licking them, granted him an 'allowance'
and, later, a retroactive pension of $25,000 per year.
After President Eisenhower was inaugurated, Harry and Bess drove home to
Missouri by themselves. There was no Secret Service following them.
When offered corporate positions at large salaries, he declined, stating,
"You don't want me. You want the office of the President, and
that doesn't belong to me. It belongs to the American people and it's not for
sale."
Even later, on May 6, 1971, when Congress was preparing to award him the
Medal of Honor on his 87th birthday, he refused to accept it, writing,
"I don't consider that I have done anything which should be the reason for any
award, Congressional or otherwise."
As president he paid for all of his own travel expenses and food.
Modern politicians have found a new level of success in cashing in on the
Presidency, resulting in untold wealth. Today, many in Congress also have
found a way to become quite wealthy while enjoying the fruits of their
offices. Political offices are now for sale.
Good old Harry Truman was correct when he observed, "My choices in
life were either to be a piano player in a whore house or a politician. And to tell the truth, there's hardly any difference."
