Welcome

Welcome to my blog http://www.skegley.blogspot.com/ . CAVEAT LECTOR- Let the reader beware. This is a Christian Conservative blog. It is not meant to offend anyone. Please feel free to ignore this blog, but also feel free to browse and comment on my posts! You may also scroll down to respond to any post.

For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Laminin Molecules Hold Us Together
They are the Glue of Biological Life

The laminin protein molecule is the major component that makes up the extracellular matrix which is also called the basement membrane.  These are the sheets of protein that form the substrate of all internal organs.  Laminin assist in cell adhesion and binds other extracellular matrix components together.

The laminin molecule is shaped like a cross and has four arms that are designed to bind to four other molecules. The three shorter arms are particularly good at binding to other laminin molecules, which is what makes it so great at forming sheets. The long arm is capable of binding to cells, which helps anchor the actual organs to the membrane.

Laminin is made up of three separate parts, called the Alpha (A), Bata (B1), and Gamma (B2) chains. That gives it a total of six ends, which accounts for a lot of its flexibility in connecting up various kinds of molecules.

The various laminins are a family of glycoproteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding in humans and almost every animal tissue.  Laminin is vital to making sure overall body structures hold together.

Hebrews 1:1-3

God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds;  who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of his power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

Colossians 1:15-22

In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:  For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:  And he is before all things, and by Him all things consist.  And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.  For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell;  and, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.  And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight.”

SYMBOLS IN NATURE
SCRIPTURAL PICTUERS

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7)

For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20)

(Colossians 1:14-17)

The Greek word here in Colossians 1:17 translated "consist" (Strong's #4921) is a compound word from two words: one meaning, "stand" or "establish" (Strong's #2476) and the other meaning, "with" or "beside" (Strong's #4862).  Thus by the power of Christ all things "stand together" or "consist"

The entry in Websters 1828 Dictionary for the word "consist" says:  "CONSIST, v.i. [L., to stand.]  To stand together; to be in a fixed or permanent state, as a body composed of parts in union or connection. Hence, to be; to exist; to subsist; to be supported and maintained. ..."

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.” (Colossians 1:20)

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” (Psalm 139:14)
