Welcome to my blog http://www.skegley.blogspot.com/ . CAVEAT LECTOR- Let the reader beware. This is a Christian Conservative blog. It is not meant to offend anyone. Please feel free to ignore this blog, but also feel free to browse and comment on my posts! You may also scroll down to respond to any post.
For Christian American readers of this blog:
I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.
The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!
A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:
"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."
Thanks Jack!
I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

If 20 million Illegals leave... Thanks Nita Elliott !
CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!!! PLEASE READ BELOW. WOW! IS THIS THE SOLUTION TO GET AMERICA BACK ON TRACK? NOT SO SIMPLE, THOUGH, IS IT?
Subject: What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America ?
What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America ?
I, Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News
wrote a column titled, "Mexican Visitor's Lament"- 10/25/07.
I interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while
visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, "illegal aliens pay
rent, buy groceries, buy clothes. What Happens to your country's
economy if 20 million people go away?" Hummm, I thought, what
would happen, so I did my due diligence, buried my nose as a
reporter into the FACTS I found below.
It's a good question it deserves an honest answer. Over 80% of
Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped.
But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America ?
The answers I found may surprise you!
In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico , it
would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school
systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave
highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could
understand one another as English became the dominant language
again.
In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids
and grand-kids would move back 'home', mostly to Mexico.
That would save Coloradons an estimated $2 billion (other experts
say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical,
social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang
members would vanish out of Denver alone. Colorado would save
more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those
7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don
Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered
death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals. Denver Public
Schools would not suffer a 67% drop-out/flunk-out rate because
of thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different
languages. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our
gridlocked cities in Colorado . Denver 's 4% unemployment rate
would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.
In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State
back to America the rule of law, and English.
In Chicago, Illinois , 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals,
schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more
crime-free experience. If 20 million illegal aliens returned 'home',
the U.S. Economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would
hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay
their fair share of taxes because they wouldn't be working off
the books. That would result in an additional $401 Billion in IRS
income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local,
state and city coffers.
No more push '1' for Spanish or '2' for English. No more confusion
in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages
that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our over-
crowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids
at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches. We
would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more
than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang
members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate
our country.
In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the ' 18th Street Gang'
would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for
ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists and child
molesters! Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our
crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and
driving American deaths by illegal aliens!
America's economy is drained. Taxpayers are harmed. Employers
get rich. Over $80 billion annually wouldn't return to the aliens'
home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half
that money untaxed, which further drains America 's economy
which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt. At least 400,000
anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109
billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California ,
Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being
bankrupt out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the
EMTOLA Act. Americans wouldn't suffer thousands of TB and
hepatitis cases rampant in our country-brought in by illegals
unscreened at our borders. Our cities would see 20 million less
people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also
put the 'progressives' on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens
and their families cause 11% of ourgreenhouse gases.
Over one million of Mexico 's poorest citizens now live inside and
along our border from Brownsville , Texas to San Diego , California
in what the New York Times called, 'colonias' or new neighborhoods.
Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where
grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and
worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, roads,
electricity, or any kind of sanitation.
The New York Times reported them to be America 's new' Third
World' inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current
growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonias.
(I've seen them personally in Texas and Arizona ; it's sickening
beyond anything you can imagine.)
By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico .
We should invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own
countries and/or make a better life in Mexico . We already invite
a million people into our country legally more than all other countries
combined annually. We cannot and must not allow anarchy at our
borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness
at every level in our nation. It's time to stand up for our country,
our culture, our civilization and our way of life.
Interesting Statistics!
Here are 14 reasons illegal aliens should vacate America , and I
hope they are forwarded over and over again until they are read
so many times that the reader gets sick of reading them:
1. $14 billion to $22 billion dollars are spent each year on welfare
to illegal aliens.(that's Billion with a 'B') http://tinyurl.com/zob77

their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem
in the US .
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html
11. During the year 2005, there were 8 to 10 MILLION illegal
aliens that crossed our southern border with as many as 19,500
illegal aliens from other terrorist countries. Over 10,000 of those
were middle-eastern terrorists. Millions of pounds of drugs,
cocaine, meth, heroine, crack, Guns, and marijuana crossed into
the U.S.from the southern border. http://tinyurl.com/t9sht
12. The National Policy Institute, estimates that the total cost of
mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion, or an
average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five
year period and nbsp;

13. In 2006, illegal aliens sent home $65 BILLION in remittances

Teasing, Kegleys, and Christianity
My parents were Forest E. and Mary E. Kegley. They raised ten of us kids at 1227 McConnell Ave. in Portsmouth, Ohio. If they were living today (our dream wishes) they would be around 105 years old. Forest E. was among the greatest teases God ever created. Mary also liked a 'fun' tease.
I like to call myself TIO (The Innocent One) but I must admit it is a 'fun' tease to arouse the 'fun' ire of my family and friends who refuse to call me that, as I do- in all modesty. I was just thinking that, as our Heavenly Father knows each of us in our bits of ornrieness at times just like our fellow family members do, He still accepts us as innocents, so much so that He sent Jesus, His Son, to die for our ornriness defined as sins.
It is not a tease that each of us has sinned and it is a profound statement of our Christianity that we Christians (who accept Christ) are forgiven.
Our parents were great in our eyes and we would loudly proclaim with them the song's words for our Lord:
How Great Thou Art!

Kentucky coach John Calipari wasn’t born to coach. At least that’s what he thought before taking a job at Kansas that ushered in his successful coaching career.
While he was at Kansas, Calipari met his wife Ellen. It was also the beginning of a coaching career that has included successful stints at UMass, Memphis and Kentucky. Calipari grew up in Pittsburgh, but his coaching career was launched in Kansas.
It was all part of a plan that Calipari didn’t draw up originally in the game of life.
“Fate Intervenes in our lives,” he said. “Things happen to us that we do not deserve. Being born here (in the United States) versus being born somewhere else, you have nothing to do with that. There are things that happen to us in a good way and in also, ‘why me?’
“There are people making dumb decisions at the top of the business and people at the bottom of the business losing their job. What happened?”
Calipari wanted to be the coach at Kentucky three years when Tubby Smith resigned, but wasn’t hired.
It wasn’t his time, yet.
Instead, Kentucky employed Billy Gillispie, who was fired after two seasons with the Wildcats.
Calipari admitted that it would have been difficult to follow in Smith’s footsteps and added that it was mean for him to remain in Memphis until “fate intervened.” In between the letdown and the offer, Calipari was at the right place at the right time.
“It was two unbelievable years for me and my family and the players at Memphis needed us (at the time.),” he said. “Two years later, (Kentucky) needed me a little bit.”
Calipari originally wanted to be a teacher. Yes, a teacher. His career has involved teaching, which is what coaching basketball involves, a dose of both teaching and motivating skills.
“(Early) in my life, I never saw myself as a lawyer or a doctor,” Calipari said. “I didn’t have any in my family. We were all laborers. A teacher, that’s what I grew up thinking I was going to be, because that’s who I looked up to and that’s who I respected.”
Since Calipari has arrived at Kentucky, the Wildcats have returned to the limelight and “back in the conversation” as one of the most feared programs in the country. Four players from Calipari’s first recruiting class with the Wildcats were chosen in the first round of the NBA Draft last summer and indication that Calipari has indeed put Kentucky back on the map nationally.
“Aren’t you proud that we have kids from around the country wanting to come here?” he asked. “This is a player’s first program. We’re going to recruit the best and the brightest.”
Calipari, one of the most successful coaches in the collegiate ranks, hasn’t forgotten is roots, either.
“I’m the grandson of a coal miner, that’s who I am,” he said.

HOW TO CALL THE POLICE
WHEN YOU'RE OLD
AND DON'T MOVE FAST ANYMORE.
George Phillips , an elderly man, from Meridian,
Mississippi, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he'd left
the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom
window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw
that there were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked"Is someone in
your house?"
He said "No," but some people are breaking into
my garden shed and stealing from me.
Then the police dispatcher said "All patrols are
busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one
is available.."
George said, "Okay."
He hung up the phone and counted to 30. Then he
phoned the police again..
"Hello,I just called you a few seconds ago
because there were people stealing things from my shed.. Well, you don't
have to worry about them now because I just shot and killed them both,
the dogs are eating them right now." and he hung up.
Within five minutes, six Police Cars, a SWAT
Team,a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed
up at the Phillips' residence, and caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to George , "I thought
you said that you'd shot them!"
George said, "I thought you said there was
nobody available!"
(True Story) I LOVE IT!
Don't mess with old people.

Happy Birthday to me- But wait, it isn't my Birthday. It is my wife's, Jeanette Weddington Kegley
A Nesei, second generation Japanese from Hawaii, was a sergeant friend who shared our barack in Tokyo. Pop, (then 28, whereas most of us GI's were only 20-22) was the old man of our place. He would return to the barracks inebriated late Saturday or early Sunday and come to my room and look at Jeanie's picture beside my bunk. He had a little broken English and would say: "How You get so lucky, boy? Get such a beautiful woman?" He would laugh and giggle and just enjoy raising me out of a good sleep to pester me.
Well, I did get lucky, now nearly 61 years ago. Paul Stamm and Don Ramsey were good friends, my brother, Bud's age. They graduated from PHS in 1948. We would often ride out on a summer evening 'looking for girls'. I missed an evening with them once and they came back saying: "Oh, Sam! You have to go with us to New Boston." Stamm said: "Sam, I saw the prettiest thing ever and she is a great dancer! She is so pretty though she is just something you would put up on a shelf and look at."
Well, I could appreciate good jitterbugging and could see when it was being done, but I never danced and, literally, had two left feet for the required skills. Next night we motored up to New Boston and the teenage crowded Grierson's Drive In, beyond the lake, the kids all called the 'Honky Tonk'. I saw the 19 year old and I was impressed, but not overly so at first. She was among the very best at jitterbugging, the fast dance of the day. She could swing her elbows and whatever in the very smoothest and classiest way. Smooth she was, but the same age of my two friends and, since I was only 17 at the time, just not a girl I was eligible to pursue. But somehow, I soon came to my senses and decided I would try to date Jeanette Weddington. She resisted when I wanted to take her to a PHS basketball game and I believe she just didn't want to be seem with this 'kid' in public.
I began working as an usher at the popular Ohio Theatre in new Boston along with the Clark twins, Carl and Clare. I saw Jeanette more often and on nights I wasn't working she allowed me to walk her home, about 3/4 of a mile west of the lake. Those were great walks and I found that, unlike my bashfulness with a lot of the Portsmouth girls, I could carry a conversation with this sweet thing. She seemed to enjoy our conversations, but kept a certain distance, telling me again and again, that I was just "infatuated". That five syllable word was probably the longest I have ever heard her or anyone say. Perhaps I was that at that time. Slowly though, I fell more and more madly in love with Jeanette.
She must have felt something for me too. In fact, two years later, we were married in January, 1952, 59 years ago as we approach January 2011. I think now- many mornings later -of Pop Noburo Yamamoto saying: 'How lucky you can be boy?! Get such a pretty woman?' You know what? Pop wasn't just blowing smoke. She was pretty then and is only prettier now each day.
Happy birthday, my bride Jeanie! I am beginning to think this can just not be 'infatuation'.
