For Christian American readers of this blog:

I wish to incite all Christians to rise up and take back the United States of America with all of God's manifold blessings. We want the free allowance of the Bible and prayers allowed again in schools, halls of justice, and all governing bodies. We don't seek a theocracy until Jesus returns to earth because all men are weak and power corrupts the very best of them.
We want to be a kinder and gentler people without slavery or condescension to any.

The world seems to be in a time of discontent among the populace. Christians should not fear. God is Love, shown best through Jesus Christ. God is still in control. All Glory to our Creator and to our God!

A favorite quote from my good friend, Jack Plymale, which I appreciate:

"Wars are planned by old men,in council rooms apart. They plan for greater armament, they map the battle chart, but: where sightless eyes stare out, beyond life's vanished joys, I've noticed, somehow, all the dead and mamed are hardly more than boys(Grantland Rice per our mutual friend, Sarah Rapp)."

Thanks Jack!

I must admit that I do not check authenticity of my posts. If anyone can tell me of a non-biased arbitrator, I will attempt to do so more regularly. I know of no such arbitrator for the internet.

Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss of Georgia, who angered the tea party by voting in favor of the fiscal cliff deal, is expected to announce that he will not seek re-election to a third term, according to a congressional aide who spoke with the Associated Press.

Chambliss was one of the Senate’s bipartisan “Gang of Six” working to reach a deficit reduction compromise. The group’s plan for a mix of tax increases and spending cuts did not gain enough support from senators in both parties to succeed.

Chambliss was elected to the House of Representatives in 1994 and became a senator in 2002 after defeating Democratic incumbent Max Cleland, a Vietnam War veteran and triple amputee, in a bitter campaign.

When asked about his plans for 2014 during an interview with Newsmax earlier this week, Chambliss offered no direct indication that he planned to leave office at the end of his second term. But he said, "I’m going through the same process I go through before every re-election cycle and look at the reasons why and why not. I’ve done this every time I’ve been up for re-election and I’ll continue to do that."

Chambliss set off threats of a tea party primary challenge with his efforts to reach a bipartisan compromise on controversial budget issues, which included a call for tax rate increases on the wealthy. Tea Party Express Chairwoman Amy Kremer delivered on those threats in a CNN interview on Jan. 3.

“I can tell you I live in the state of Georgia and Saxby Chambliss is going to be primaried,” she told CNN. “It’s unacceptable to have somebody who votes with the Democrats more than they do with the conservatives, and he has proven time and time again he’s all about the spending.”

In the Newsmax interview, Chambliss insisted he was not concerned about a challenge from within his own party.

“I don’t worry about that," he said. "What I do worry about is doing my job and doing what the people in my state want me to do, and that is to come to Washington to make the hard and tough decisions that, frankly, some of these people who are mentioned as running against me, obviously, have not been willing to make.”

Among those who have expressed an interest in challenging Chambliss are U.S. Reps. Tom Price and Paul Broun, both Republican doctors.

Conservative blogger Erick Erickson also has threatened to mount a primary challenge. After Chambliss dismissed concerns about violating Grover Norquist’s anti-tax pledge, Erickson, a Georgia native, told CNN, "Back in December of 2008, I wrote that Chambliss found himself in a runoff because he sided with every bad compromise from immigration to energy, to the farm bill to the bailouts.”

obama's "Organizing for Action

Obama’s New Nonprofit Courts Big Liberal Donors

President Barack Obama has apparently had an about face in his thinking about the influence of large corporations in American politics as he moves to create a nonprofit outreach group with links to special interests.

Within days of his second inauguration, Obama's new political group, Organizing for Action, began seeking corporate backing and establishing ties with big-money, liberal organizations, according to a report Friday in Politico.

From the first, the group has closely affiliated itself with organizations funded by liberal mega-donors like currency titan George Soros, who has given millions over the years to websites like MoveOn.org that target Fox News and conservative candidates.

The tax-exempt, nonprofit grew out of Obama’s presidential campaign operation and has the express purpose of promoting his second-term agenda and advocating on key issues such as gun control and immigration.

The president’s 2012 campaign manager, Jim Messina, will serve as the nonprofit's national chairman, while former White House aide Jon Carson will be its executive director, Politico reported.

Obama initially declared that Organizing for America would be funded by grassroots activists, but none were in attendance at the invitation-only unveiling of the group at the Newseum on Saturday. The “Road Ahead” meeting, as it was called, was sponsored by Business Forward, a trade association allied with the White House. Business Forward is funded by major corporations including Microsoft, Walmart, and PG&E, all of whom were represented at the event by senior executives.

Messina and Carson pleaded with the guests to support the outreach effort, according to a Politico reporter who attended the event.

“We need you. This president needs you,” said Messina, adding that the organization is “building a national advisory board filled with people in this room.” Carson told the donors, “There’s going to be a place for each and every one of you.”

In response to the meeting, Fred Wertheimer, head of the political watchdog group Democracy 21, issued a statement saying, “President Obama has set out on a dangerous and unprecedented path as he begins his second term in office. The new organization has the stated purpose of advocating the President’s agenda and will accept unlimited contributions from corporations and individuals to pursue this goal.”

“As far as I know, this is the first time a President has outsourced an important responsibility of his presidency to a private sector organization that is financed by unlimited private funds and that is, in effect, operating as an arm of the presidency,” he continued.

“In taking this step, the President has opted for the ends justify the means approach that is fraught with danger. It opens the door to opportunities for government corruption, by allowing corporations and individuals to provide unlimited amounts of money to directly benefit the President’s interests and potentially to receive government benefits and favors in return.”

Added Wertheimer, “This would take President Obama about as far away as he could possibly get from the goal he set in 2008 to “change the way business is done in Washington.” He urged Obama to immediately shut down Organizing for Action.

As for the grassroots activists shut out of the unveiling on Saturday, they were allowed to attend an open meeting at the Washington Hilton on Sunday called the “Obama Campaign Legacy Conference." Carson told reporters that Organizing for America would “absolutely” be funded mostly by grassroots donors like those Obama highlighted in his campaign.

to Tom
That is customer service today T & C.  The yuppies are paying
attention to only two
of the four things customers are interested in 1.) Price, 2.)
Delivery, 3. Quality, and 4.) Service.  You can get price and delivery
at Walmart or a desirable store, assuming you have quality.  If later
quality isn't there and you seek service, just hike over to the
Phillipines or India or Brazil.    The telephone takes no less than a
few hours or days to get absolutely nowhere.

Then there are the secular progressives here in America guiding our
government.

Thank heaven our God is still in control.

Sam, I really had a good laugh with this one and the one before on your experience with custom
service.  Yea even our banks here in VA  use people in India and other countries to do their
accounting booking keeping. When someone calls regarding their bank statement, you get
a person in India, or some other country where you cannot understand a word he/she is saying.
Very sad.  Then we American's cannot get jobs!!  Why, USA is giving them to all these foreigners
and we cannot understand anything they say.  I know, I have problems with the two banks I use
here in Alexandria.  I have to go in person so I can see who I am talking to. I never understand
them over the phone.    So your customer service situation is really the God's truth in today's servicing thepublic.

Shampooing n the shower ... Thanks T. & C.!

Shampooing in the shower...be sure and read this one!

this is the first bit of good advice I've had all year!  I'm going to start today......xox

Don't wash your hair in the shower!
It's so good to finally get a health warning that is useful!!!
INVOLVES THE SHAMPOO WHEN IT RUNS DOWN YOUR BODY WHEN YOU SHOWER WITH IT. WARNING TO US ALL!!!

Shampoo Warning!
I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner!
I use shampoo in the shower!
When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and printed very
Clearly on the shampoo label is this warning, "FOR EXTRA BODY AND VOLUME."
No wonder I have been gaining weight!

Well! I got rid of that shampoo and I am going to start showering with Dawn dishwashing soap instead. Its label reads,

"DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."

Problem solved!

Surely not for me ... Thanks Judi, I think!

I think this was intended for you. Sent to me in error !!! J

Second Amendment rights ... Thanks Sarah R. and TJ!

THOUGHTS TO PONDER AS THIS REGIME CONTINUES TO TRY TO TAKE AWAY OUR GUNS AND ELIMINATE OUR SECOND AMENDMENT.

The message in this article is worth reflection..........The massacre at Wounded Knee, South Dakota occurred on 29 December 1890.  History notes that it started when the US Government attempted to disarm the Lakota Indians.   "One version of events claims that during the process of disarming the Lakota, a deaf tribesman named Black Coyote was reluctant to give up his rifle, claiming he had paid a lot for it.[6] A scuffle over Black Coyote's rifle escalated and a shot was fired which resulted in the 7th Cavalry's opening fire indiscriminately from all sides, killing men, women, and children, as well as some of their own fellow troopers."

A Lesson to be Learned on the Anniversary of Wounded Knee
December 29, 2012 marked the 122nd Anniversary of the murder of 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. These 297 people, in their winter camp, were murdered by federal agents and members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”. The slaughter began AFTER the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms. When the final round had flown, of the 297 dead or dying, two thirds (200) were women and children.
Around 40 members of the 7th Cavalry were killed, over half cut down by friendly fire from the Hotchkiss guns of their overzealous comrades-in-arms. Twenty members of the 7th Cavalry were deemed “National Heros” and awarded the Medal of Honor for their acts of cowardice.
We do not hear of Wounded Knee today. It is not mentioned in our history classes or books. What little does exist about Wounded Knee is normally the sanitized “Official Government Explanation” or the historically and factually inaccurate depictions of the events leading up to the massacre on the movie screen.

Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people.

Before you jump on the emotionally charged bandwagon for gun-control, take a moment to reflect on the real purpose of the Second Amendment- The right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The argument that the Second Amendment only applies to hunting and target shooting is asinine. When the United States Constitution was drafted “hunting” was an everyday chore carried out by men and women to put meat on the table each night, and “target shooting” was an unheard of concept, musket balls were a precious commodity in the wilds of early America, and were certainly not wasted “target shooting”. The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defense purposes should such tyranny rise in the United States.

As time goes on the average citizen in the United States continues to lose personal freedom or “liberty”. Far too many times unjust bills are passed and signed into law under the guise of “for your safety” or “for protection”. The Patriot Act signed into law by G.W. Bush, then expanded and continued by Barack Obama is just one of many examples of American citizens being stripped of their rights and privacy for “safety”. Now, the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is on the table, and will, most likely be taken away for “our safety”.

Before any American citizen blindly accepts whatever new firearms legislation that is about to be doled out, they should stop and think about something for just one minute-
Evil does exist in our world. It always has and always will. Throughout history evil people have committed evil acts. In the Bible one of the first stories is that of Cain killing Abel. We can not legislate “evil” into extinction. Good people will abide by the law, defective people will always find a way around it.

And another thought Evil exists all around us, but looking back at the historical record of the past 200 years across the globe, where is “evil” and “malevolence” most often found? In the hands of those with the power- governments. That greatest human tragedies on record and the largest loss of innocent human life can be attributed to governments. Who do governments target? “Scapegoats” and “enemies” within their own borders…but only after they have been disarmed to the point where they are no longer a threat. Ask any Native American, and they will tell you it was inferior technology and lack of arms that contributed to their demise. Ask any Armenian why it was so easy for the Turks to exterminate millions of them, and they will answer “We were disarmed before it happened”. Ask any Jew what Hitler’s first step prior to the mass murders of the Holocaust was- confiscation of firearms from the people.

Wounded Knee is the prime example of why the Second Amendment exists, and why we shouldn’t be in such a hurry to surrender our Right to Bear Arms. Without the Second Amendment we have no right to defend ourselves and our families.
